They could've played the shopkeeper and bald woman who talk about how beautiful Belle is ("Now it's no wonder that her name means beauty..."), lol. I can't quite remember, do they show Beast's father and mother during "Days in the Sun"? Perhaps they could've played those characters.

While I love the prologue being read by a woman, the interruption at the middle kills it for me, so I'm glad they didn't got Angela Lansbury then and got her now because I can only hope her version will be closer to the original Broadway show (and movie)

It looks like the village set will be amazing!

I still wish the word "Beauty" in the logo was more beauty-ful. "Beast" is strangely the prettier looking word.

Puke. I hate it. I believe that is from the Asian production of Beauty and the Beast so it may not be in this revival. I forget which Asian country, though.

I looked it up and it was China.

This gown looks even worse than the live action one. The original broadway gown and the European are amazing, they should use on of them.

I'd prefer a new design that actually is a good resemblance to both the animated version and 18th century ball gowns. Believe me, I've seen one 18th century dress in an 18th century-dated drawing that actually has the kind of skirt the animated one had.

I think Belle's blue dress looks a heck of a lot like Dorothy Gale's in the MGM Wizard of Oz ? Or is that just me ?

I thought the same thing. And actually, when they designed Belle's blue peasant dress for the original movie, they wanted something very "Dorothy Gale" feeling. The original Broadway dress was better.

The final gown…in my opinion it doesn't look like Belle's. The wig is horrible too.

At least that one looks decent versus the one further up the page which just to look at was like having your eye gouged out.

Thanks for the pic, Thumper_93! I actually love the yellow gown! I wish we had gotten more of an 18th century gown, but it's beautiful! I even like the wig! Could look more like 19th century curls, but oh well. I wanna see the ball gown though, not just her princess gown! I love the Prince's costume, too!
