Thank you blackcauldron85.

I'm right at the top of the line for old school material. But as most of the old timers know about the new Disney management, they aren't too concerned about the base of fans who made Disney successful.

My fear is that we may never see those old disney Anthology episodes again unless it is by bootleg copies. I hope I'm wrong, but the last 16 years have told me otherwise.

If anyone sees definite proof, I'll celebrate with many other old timers!

Regards, Chris

I can't see any reason why that should happen. If all the content on Disney+ actually belongs to Disney, they can make it available for as long as they want. Netflix on the other hand, has to pay for all the content not produced by themselves. Sometimes the streaming rights returns to the owners, and Netflix will pay to make it available for some time more. And in the case of Disney, their content will be pulled from Netflix forever as soon as the contract expires (Disney content is still available on Netflix outside America).

And now it seems like AT&T is pulling out of Hulu, which leaves Comcast with 33% ownership, and Disney with 66%.

Here's a video by YouTube channel Dave Lee Down Under listing some of the take-aways from the Disney+ Investor's Day presentation.

For O&C fans, a spot of good news:

At 16:34 into the Dave Lee Down Under video I just posted, you can make out the O&C DVD/Blu-ray cover between those for Peter Pan and Star Wars: The Force Awakens (under Free Solo and above Avengers: Infinity War).

I didn't know that was why Netflix removes content sometimes. Thanks for the info.

oh that's good to know! I guess they didn't have space for all the titles in the other image.

the bold text code never seems to work for me :?

TV-14 shows to be included:

Will be available in Canada:
http://whatsondisneyplus.com/disney-con ... to-canada/

Will NOT include Song of the South (we knew that coming in) and unfortunately, they're going to remove the Jim Crow scene from Dumbo:

Oh well, another win for DVD/Blu-ray then!

Unfortunately, they're going to remove the Jim Crow scene from Dumbo.
Oh, hell no! What's next? Are they going to remove the Siamese cats from Lady and the Tramp and the Natives from Peter Pan? If everything that's considered offensive were to be removed most of classics would end up butchered. I hope they don't pull this crap with any subsequent home video releases.

The last thing Dumbo needs is to be even shorter in length. :|

I hope so too. It seems my worst nightmares are coming true.

It's a shame Song of the South won't being included, though as you said it's not a surprise, but removing the Jim Crow scene from Dumbo is crazy. It's a key moment in the film, if they remove it, the rest of the movie after it won't make sense. Not to mention it includes one of Disney's most famous songs.

So... what's going to happen? Does this mean it's going to go straight from The Pink Elephants to the part where he shows everyone he can fly without any explanation on he got that feather? In fact, let's just say one of those over protective parents was showing this version to their kids and something like this came up:

Kid: "Mommy? How did he get that black feather?"
Parent: "Uhhhhhh....well, honey...."

Seriously, they cut out this scene, they cut out one of the most pivotal parts of the film.

The Dumbo news seems dubious to me.

Oh wow, if that's really true, then I'm shocked. To think that some people thought Disney might bring back Song of the South in this service or even add Sunflower back to Fantasia. This is just another reason why physical media is so important because in a few generations from now, films like The Little Mermaid or Pocahontas might be similarly censored for "objectionable" material. So glad I've got my Blu-Ray for Dumbo and never bothered with a digital copy.

Honestly, if Disney had to pick a film from their animated catalog to censor, I'd have gone with Peter Pan and the Red Indian scene first. That song is as useless as Fixer-Upper from Frozen.

I'm not sure I buy the crows thing.
I was in the Disney Store today in the mall and they played "When I see an Elephant Fly" on the screen in the store alongside a bunch of the Dumbo featurettes for the live action movie.

The "news" about Dumbo sounds similar to the same "news" about "Be Prepared" being cut from The Lion King re-make or the talk about "Kiss the Girl" possibly being cut from TLM remake. There's a thirst among fake news sites to stir people up into a hysteria over things that will never happen, to incite a fear of progress. I'll be very surprised if this has any truth to it.

I agree with those of you who feel the Dumbo news is dubious.

Don't panic guys. I feel Disney would have gotten rid of the Jim Crow scene long ago had that been their intention. Such a move would cripple the film.

In the worst possible scenario, if this does happen it means our blu-ray copies will be worth millions! :P

Skyler Shuler: Getting a lot of questions about Boardwalk Times' report on Song of the South and Dumbo on Disney+. All I will say is... don’t discount it. I’ve heard the same in the past. Now whether Disney goes through with it is another question entirely.

Q: Are they gonna edit Dumbo or animated a new scene? How can they just cut that scene out?

Skyler Shuler: Heard reanimate, heard edit...Honestly, don’t know what that means or the course they want to go.

Reanimate it in horrible CGI that contrasts against the 2D. That's the dream, right?

Still not buying it. What somebody "heard" could still be just unsubstantiated rumor.
