I think the fab 4 Renaissance films have been on D+ since day 1, and have been since. If I was to guess as to why they haven't ranked on here, it'd be that most everyone who wants to watch them already own the films in some way. The more recent films like Moana, the Frozens, and even Zootopia, which is right outside the top 10, hit it big around the time physical media was starting to be overshadowed by streaming, and are probably in less people's homes.

... I say, although the first Frozen is the best selling Blu-Ray of all time. Not to mention that The Nightmare Before Christmas also ranks pretty high itself, but there just may be more of a demand for those films right now.

Ah! Good for Zootopia. I feel it has that re-watchable quality a lot of movies don't have, in the sense that I could see it over a million times and still enjoy it. I can't wait until the second one is on its way.

^ Yes, I am super-duper excited for The Muppet Show!

At least in the UK, Disney+ kids' accounts are not even showing the films that otherwise show the warning “This programme includes negative depictions and/or mistreatment of people or cultures. These stereotypes were wrong then and are wrong now.”

Parents stunned as Disney+ blocks kids under seven from watching ‘racist’ Peter Pan, Dumbo and The Aristocats

I'm glad I'm not a child anymore, and neither is anyone in my family.

Well, it's better than the alternative, which is to cut those scenes out completely, as was the rumor with "Dumbo" in particular to cut out the crows. And besides, couldn't the parents just let the kids watch the movies on their accounts if they chose?

Or they could just buy a physical version of those particular films.

Except physical copies of movies are on the decline, as far as I know.

Frankly, I wouldn't mind so much about them removing the films from the kids section, except I have a feeling it's only the beginning. How long is it before they pull those movies completely?

Apparently, they were found to have "breached content advisories", whatever that means.

This is why it never made sense to me Disney closing its overseas channels just because it was launching Disney Plus in those territories. Disney Plus would have been successful anyway and they would still have enjoyed profits from their legacy businesses there. I think they're being short-sighted by going all-in on streaming and forgoing or neglecting their traditional sources of revenue.
Q: Disney rolled out Disney+ internationally, and then shortly after channels in Australia and the UK closed. Would you consider emulating that strategy?

Tom Ascheim: We’re really excited about our international channels. They’re not going anywhere. It’s actually a great opportunity with Disney going all-streaming. We’re seeing upticks for our ratings in those markets where it has closed channels. We welcome Disney’s decisions, because it’s good for our business.

So is it likely that eventually Disney will shut down Disney Channel and DisneyJunior? (Freeform?)

Disney+ Unveils Debut Slate Of 10 European Originals, Including First Projects For International Streamer Star
https://deadline.com/2021/02/disney-eur ... 234693868/
By Jake Kanter
France
Parallels — Disney+
...six-part fantasy adventure series, which follows four teenagers whose lives are turned upside down when a mysterious event propels them into parallel dimensions. ...filming is underway on the series, which is billed as a witty romp for a family audience.

Weekend Family — Disney+
...eight-part comedy chronicles the life of a new stepfamily that meets up every weekend. But when the father gets into a relationship with a new partner, the weekends take on a whole different turn...
The other new shows mentioned in the article are Star, so click the link for those. I wonder if these and any other new shows might make it to other countries' Disney+... in the US, for example, we have The Lodge and Evermoor from Disney Channel UK, & Bia and Soy Luna from Disney Channel Argentina.

Pandering to the audience! Please Disney stop with this nonsense. No kid will notice these 'negative stereotypes'.
This is stabbing both Walt and the 'nine old man' that made Disney big in the first place, in the back. The present Disney CEO is telling them: you were morally wrong, and we are apologising for you. How arrogant. But I know in the end it's simple opportunism; like other big corporations, they just go along with 'the zeitgeist'.

I suppose lot of DVDizzies will disagree with me on this, but I just had to vent this.
