Well, she should have told Nakoma about her exact plan and explain how John would be able to help so Nakoma wouldn’t run to Kokuom.
Besides, John had no influence on Ratcliffe so it would have been useless either way.

Hi Disney,

If you provide the airfare and living arrangements, I am 100% available to play “Villager #2.” HMU!

People had speculated he might play Eric in the re-make (I really wish he had since I love him these days), but maybe they should've been speculating he might play Ariel. :P

I found the location on Google Maps and it seems to be a very remote bay, completely secluded with only a few roads leading up to it. I somehow doubt we'll see a lot of paparazzi pics of that specific location. Gorgeous views though!

Yeah, I've heard they've already started to shoot and there are no images on the Internet yet, so I guess you're right about that. By the way, I loved the last drawing you posted. The colors are so vibrant! I think Halle would look great in that shade of red. And I like your idea for the tail at the waist.

We'd be lucky if Halle looks half as good as she does in your fan art. :)

‘The Little Mermaid’ Star Norma Dumezweni Talks Chemistry on Set
https://thedisinsider.com/2021/05/12/li ... y-in-film/
Norma Dumezweni, who plays a secret role in the upcoming live-action remake of The Little Mermaid, recently spoke with Variety about her experience on the film. She specifically discusses Halle Bailey and Jonah Hauer-King as Ariel and Prince Eric:

“There’s a moment when the camera zooms in and you see both of them. I was watching on a monitor and was like, ‘If that’s not iconic, I have no taste.’”

Also in the interview, Demuzweni called the pair “f*cking adorable. They’re just so sweet together.”

Skyler Shuler now claims Noma Dumezweni is playing Carlotta even though he previously said she's playing Athena. Deadline mentioned Noma's role is "a brand new role that wasn’t in the animated movie" which makes me doubt it's Carlotta.
The cast also includes Jonah Hauer-King as Prince Eric, Melissa McCarthy as Ursula, Javier Bardem as King Triton, Noma Dumezweni as Carlotta, and Jude Akuwudike as Grimsby. Emily Coates, Jessica Alexander, Russell Balogh, and Adrian Christopher have also joined the cast in unnamed roles. Oh we can’t forget, Eric’s dog Max will also appear.
