The only thing to watch out for is I wouldn't say a whole movie will be just like another whole movie. What really ruined me though was when everyone said there would be a twist villain. Once I started wondering who it could be, I figured the Sugar Plum Fairy. I did think, well maybe it's the Nutracker, because people said it would be like Aurora and Phillip being the villains of Sleeping Beauty. Then I thought, maybe Drosselmeyer. But I figured it was probably the Sugar Plum Fairy as the most likely one, so that is a warning to everyone! Not mad, just sayin'. :)

I'm actually still very excited for this movie. The new TV spot and banner, and the spoiler lol, actually got me into this more.

Thanks for those, D82! The ballet scene looks so gorgeous!

You know, I agree wih you D82, if it had been a mother-daughter song instead of a father-son song, it would be better.

Don't read this if you haven't read all the latest comments tagged as spoilers: It seems Clara's relationship with his father is quite important in the story too, so the song may fit with that movie theme a bit better than we previously thought.

By the way, I'm sorry the movie has been spoiled for you. I feel a bit responsible too because I told that that storybook was on Youtube tempting everybody to read it. I agree with you that mentioning a movie has a surprise villain, even if you don't tell who that villain is, is also a spoiler. I think we should all be more careful regarding spoilers from now on.

That TV spot was great! I didn't read any more of the spoilers. It's not your fault that some people read the storybook. Yeah so I would say everyone learned what should be spoiler tagged.

^Thanks, Sotiris! I like both posters.

Here's yet another one, plus a new featurette and two more TV spots:

And I don't know it this was already known or not, but according to Box Office Mojo the film has a runtime of just 90 minutes.

Does Disney hire the same people to do their poster marketing campaigns ? It feels like both Alice films, Maleficent, Wrinkle in Time, Beauty & The Beast, now this one, all look identical.

I know that gives their live action films an identity, and it is clearly Disney, but visually, its a bit dull to have the same thing again and again is all.

This is the limited edition Nutcracker figure that the Disney Store is selling. Perhaps we'll see something similar in the movie.

Disney has finally revealed the Nutcracker's appearance in this new TV spot. Is he black? I really can't tell from that shot.

Here's also another new poster: https://twitter.com/thenutcracker/statu ... 1085113349

Hmm. It's hard to tell. If he's supposed to Black, he's very light-skinned. Either way, his skin tone still doesn't match that of the actor portraying him.

Thanks! Their illustration/painting posters are really good. This one in particular would have made a great theatrical poster.

That's true. If it's black, it should've matched his skin tone.

I agree. Those posters are really cool.

Love the new poster!

As for the Nutcracker's appearance, if I'm correct Philip is just one of many nutcrackers who come to life. So the one that Clara gets for Christmas doesn't have to match Philip's appearance because it isn't meant to be Philip. I'm assuming anyway.

That would resolve a lot of issues. Fingers crossed.

I'm glad she's still a fairy, or at least still called one. Although I also wouldn't go too much by the tv spot because it refers to all the characters by their most iconic names. Philip was referred to as "The Nutcracker" but I doubt he'll be called that much in the film if at all.

I love that drawn poster! It should have been the actual poster!

Great find on the Nutracker soldier being sold by Disney. But I wonder how the doll will have signifigance when it looks like Philip won't be that Nutcracker at all. Unless they really are gonna do a white to black thing. :shifty:

Also, Philip says in the TV spot that he is "the only nutcracker in the entire kingdom", doesn't he?

Another new poster for the movie. This one is reminiscent of The Snow Queen.

Do you mean the fairytale or that Russian CGI film that came out before Frozen did?
