It is according to people who attended Frozen 2: Behind the Scenes at the Animation Is Film festival where they showed extended clips from the film.

Thanks for posting! I really liked the full version. It feels a bit fragmented as a song though. It reminds me of "Do You Want to Build a Snowman" in terms of structure, with all the stops and goes and the instrumental intervals.

Who knows deep down I’m not where I’m meant to be?"
That part of the song in particular reminded me the ending of "Just Around the Riverbend" where it goes:

"Or do you still wait for me, dream giver
Just around the river bend?"

I love Jin Kim's art! I'm glad he's still working for Disney even as a freelancer. Here's another picture with some of the sketches he did for Frozen 2.

"Into the Unknown" is an awesome song!! I'll bet it will be amazing in context of the movie and we'll get a clearer version of the song once the soundtrack comes out. So excited! :D :D :D :D

You're right about that one.
If there isn't a twist villain then that's a plus for me. Though the songs seem to have a mixture of really great and really crap like the first one had, though I'll wait for the soundtrack and then make my decision on the matter. The trailers make me believe this film will have the same tone problems the first one did with over dramatic with Anna and Elsa's scene and completely infantilised and almost ridiculous with Olaf's scenes... I'm hoping there's not so much focus on him though.
To be honest, the tonal inconsistency was one of my gripes with the first film, though it wasn't as jarring as it truly can be at it's very worst (*cough, Hunchback, cough*). I actually liked Olaf, I found him endearing and likable, but unfortunately he was reduced to juvenile jokes. But he wasn't the only one who was the comic relief, though. However, my main gripe with Frozen (besides the misplaced focus of not giving Elsa more screentime than she needed) was that it's overall mediocrity.
Besides a couple of songs, the score was overall dull and generic, which makes for an generic movie. But I know that I'm repeating myself, since I've ranted about Frozen several times. As for the twist villain, I wouldn't mind it, as long as it's a good villain.

Finally! Santino mentions he has a small scene in Frozen 2 in this interview...looks like we may get a cameo/flashback/or end credit scene. At least its something, I guess.

I hope his appearance isn't a flashback. I'd like to know where he is and what he's doing currently. I also hope he isn't just used for a gag. I want his appearance to be treated seriously even if it's brief.

Some info about the stone giants, if it hasn't been mentioned already:

http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/s ... =1&vwsrc=0
Big rocks have always been associated with superstition, trolls and giants, buried treasures and strange occurrences. Today we know that they are remnants of one of the at least five different Ice Ages to which Denmark has been exposed. With each Ice Age, incredible masses of material have been brought down from the more northerly territories in Norway, Sweden and Finland. Some of the rocks are called indicator boulders because they are derived from a mountain that exists only as solid rock in a single location. Larvikite from Norway, rhomb-porphyry and hornfels from the Oslo area as well as kinnediabas from Sweden are the best known rock types on Læsø.

According to tradition, there was a giant or troll in Sweden who became so angry when they started to build the since vanished church in Hals that he threw three stones from Skania (Skåne) across towards the people on Læsø. He did not aim very well, though, perhaps because he was angry or the distance was too far. The first stone, the Saurian Stone ("Øglestenen"), came too far and landed on Garfish Shoal ("Hornfiskrøn"). The second one, the Bansten, was too short and landed in the sea to the north of Hals Church. The third stone is the Halfar Stone, which landed in Bovet. In its surface you can still see distinct marks from the Giant's fingers. It is said about the Saurian Stone that a buried treasure lies 60 feet from the stone. Unfortunately nothing is said about the direction or depth in which the treasure is hidden!

Honestly I prefer a flashback b/c at least it wouldn't be another joke cameo. Best thing would be an end credits sequence foreshadowing a 3rd film, but the directors said they see this as a two part saga, with this 2nd film concluding the story of the first film. But I have a hard time believing Disney wouldn't make a 3rd film if the 2nd one is successful.

Well, it's good to finally hearing the song completely. Though it's a good song, I don't see how it's going to be the next Let it Go. Regardless of how overplayed it has been, it's still a song that is epiphanic and powerful in a way that makes it hard to do. Into the Unknown just comes across as a different song in both structure and pacing. It's a power ballad, but it doesn't really is shaped in the same way as the landmark that was Let it Go.

I’m honestly impressed with the song simply because it’s clearly NOT trying to be Let It Go. I truly thought they’d try hard to recapture that moment for this movie, and I’m so glad to see they didn’t and just let the song come from the story. I think it’s nice enough. It still isn’t the most... creative instrumentally, and the lyrics are of course not Ashman level, but we knew that going in. The only thing that really bothers me is I feel like the *voice* doesn’t musically fit in the song at times. Almost as if it’s at odds against the music, and it takes away from the song instead of adding to it. Maybe I’m crazy, but I’ve thought that every time I’ve heard it. It’s like a placeholder voice and they never wrote one to perfectly fit musically with the full song.

TBH I think they only said that to justify a sequel, but I personally see little story or thematic connection between the two films (at least from what I saw from trailers and read from descriptions). I believe that when Frozen 3 comes they'll say the same but the truth is Frozen is getting sequels because it's successful, not because there's a true continuation to the story.

My friend has a doll for their little girl of Elsa from the second movie, and this doll literally SCREAMS 'Into the Unknown' ... the octaves she gets up to seriously make your ears hurt. It's the second part where she goes up high and sings 'into the unknowwwaaaannnnnnnnnnn' Already the song has been ruined ! rotfl

Yes. I feel sorry for all the Elsa actresses who will need to do this around the world.

I feel most sorry for Idina Menzel who, for the rest of her life, will be expected at every concert she gives to sing Defying Gravity, Let it Go, Into the Unknown, and whatever rangey power ballad the Lopezes write for the inevitable Frozen III. Her poor voice!

Idina Menzel can't really do live anymore. Her voice has changed for the worse unfortunately.

A third one is pretty much a given to reunite the sisters like Toy Story 5 at this point. I do hope he has something substantial even with his small role or cameo appearance. Something that isn't a gag like you said, such as in Frozen Fever.

True. I hate when Disney puts a spin on their actual motives. For ages they pretended there wasn’t going to be a Frozen 2, and now they’re doing the same with Zootopia 2. Unless Frozen 2 really bombs, there will be a Frozen 3. I don’t see anything else after a 3, but who knows. I don’t think fairy tales have the strength to go forever the same as stories like Toy Story or Winnie the Pooh do.

I don't agree that's the case, but I know all artists who do huge, range-y songs reach a point where it’s difficult to sing them as they once did eventually. That’s just life.

As for Hans, I hope it's either a joke cameo or a setup for the third film. Either way, he wouldn't be leading his own country, so I don't see how he could be the main villain in a third film. A flashback would be pretty stupid to me; that's probably very unlikely.

whoooo boythey've leaked the art from the art of book on tumblr that confirms the separation ending and Anna being queen and its making some folks downright furious! Yeah I doubt it will affect the box office whatsoever, but anyway... looks like it wont only be the Hans fans who will be disappointed in this film. No 3rd film huh?! riiiight!

I like that they're not the typical character posters and show the characters in action instead of just posing.

Thanks, Rumpelstiltskin! I didn't know the stone giants were also inspired by Norse mythology.

Here are some spoiler-filled images from 'The Art' of book. I love Elsa's final white dress and hairstyle! Also, it seems Elsa won't be alone; she'll have Honeymaren and Ryder for company and possibly other members of the Northuldra. She's seen riding with them at the end.
