I thought these two scenes were awful: 01 and 02.

In the first scene, that twist was clearly a last minute thing. And the second scene was beyond formulaic. "Love. Of course!" Duh! And, just like that, she can control her powers.

Well said.

Although my initial problems with "Frozen" were it's dramatical unevenness, the first half being superior to it's second and a generic score, it also suffered from a busy script. The premise of the Snow Queen and as well the sisterly broken bond was enough for a entire movie itself. Anna's quest for true love became the main theme of the movie. Hans and Anna's engagement, Hans betrayal and the sisterly act of "true love" would've made more sense in a concept like "Enchanted" or "Shrek", not a story which already was about the Snow Queen. As you said, Hans' sudden reveal was contrived and forced. Anna is not given just one love interest, but two and Kristoff is extremely poorly developed, when he's clearly could've been a more deeper and compelling character. Although I didn't mind that Elsa was reduced to a secondary character, she was after all the main catalyst for the events, so she should've been a more fleshed out than just a self-piteous and passive heroine. At least former Disney outcasts have been likeable, but Elsa was personality-deprived and not particularly compelling.

Even with that argument, the plot leads to some gap. It's really funny how Elsa think she's an monster because of a pure accident that wasn't even her fault (if you'll look closely). And later she gets blamed for it by her parents. It funny how Grand Pabbie warns her about fear being her enemy, yet her parents provides her with much fear and even keeps her away from her sister, without letting the latter know (yes, we wouldn't have a plot without it, but it's still a gap). And even that, did Elsa ever leave her room? Did she spend her entire life in the room?

And yes, it's pretty unplausble how Elsa suddenly learns to control her powers because of "love", without a more deeper explanation for it. But that's a story logic that we'll just have to ignore.

Okay, it looks like I'm bashing "Frozen" completely. I certainly didn't hate the film, there were parts of it that I liked. But overall, it wasn't Disney's best.

I saw Cinderella, along with the accompanying Frozen Fever short. And all I can say is that I enjoyed both.

Oh, and that the opening of the song in the latter sounded like 'Life's Too Short's' opening melody got recycled for it.

saw it today, it was way better than the Tangled short.
also:
I like that Hans got a cameo but did they have to use the ol' "bad guy falls into manure pile" bit? That was already cliche when they did it in Aladdin.

Don´t forget that they kind of used it in "The Princess and the frog" too, when Lawrence tells Naveen to get a job and he points to a guy picking up a manure pile.

Hans gets all the cliche bad guy ends. Fall into Manure Pile and Get Knocked out by a Girl in the first film. He really kinda is a crappy villain.

Cinderella’s Castle To Be Renamed For Elsa.

According to this article, the old Princesses are passe. Way to go, Walt Disney World! And yes, I was sarcastic.

It would've been funnier to see that posted yesterday, considering how many people here don't like Frozen.

Frozen will premiere on all of the Disney channels, as well as ABC and ABC Family, in February 2016.
