Not a bad idea!
But just in to solve any more potential problems with her ears, here is the transformation focused on her face. You see the lower half of her ear under her hair. Her hair folds further over it while the head band/ribbon appears, finally the earring covers her whole ear:
This is a photo of a sample paper crown taken by a US Disney Store employee, likely for an in-store activity. As you can see it features the 'new' Cinderella while the rest of the princesses remain the same. Since only Cinderella was altered, do you think it has to do with the upcoming Cinderella: Diamond Edition?
Cinderella's mice are taken from the (possible) Cinderella: Diamond Edition cover that was posted in the appropriate thread, another clue to her makeover being related to the Diamond release. If it is for the Diamond relase, I'm not too happy about that, but whatever.
But I love the castle, clock, coach, and magic Disney dust images of that last picture. Reminds me why I love the movie so much.

Are they planning on keeping this image for a while? If so then I'm very opposed to this now. Granted, I don't think it looks nearly as horrible as many of you are saying. (I still don't see AT ALL and slut resemblance) I do agree that I don't want this look to stick around for a long time.
Why am I getting an uneasy feeling when I think about what the cover may look like for Cinderella's Diamond Edition? Not that I hate the images but I'm worried about the cover now.

You missed the part where I said a possible Diamond Edition cover already came out and it has her old classic look intact and drawn very well. Look for the Cinderella: Diamond Edition thread.

It is funny how it's just get that's been altered; I wonder why ?
I doubt very much the new version will be on the Diamond; it would be the same as Disney plonking a golden jewel version of one of the guts on there. Granted, knowing Disney, that may happen But it hasn't so far.
What concerns me, though, is why Disney is introducing this new interpretation of Cinderella, which now seems like it might get more distribution than in just one jewelry line, when, at the same time Disney will soon be promoting another image of Cinderella, the classic Disney Princess line look, for the Diamond. Presumably.
Well, I don't love this (looking at that Charm Bracelet tag posted above). I don't like the way Belle came out (she hardly looks like Belle, to me), and Aurora and Cindy look really, REALLY hot, but they don't really look like the same characters to me. Ariel is fine. She looks like herself, just dolled up. Those other three I mentioned, to me they look like different girls, and so alike that it's generic. Seems like they hardly did anything to Snow White at all, while she probably could use the most updating (well, I like that one update of her from the 90's or so). Mulan, Pocahontas, and Tiana hardly seem to fit in here, as they are barely changed at all, and the Mulan and Tiana drawings, in my opinion, aren't very good ones.
With Snow White they just changed the position of her bow (they've put it on the side instead in the centre) and they changed a bit the neckline of her dress. Mulan and Rapunzel remained the same but with added sparkle in their dresses while Pocahontas and Tiana remained exactly the same.
