I think I'm starting to lose interest in WDAS with all the changes and the new direction the studio seems to be heading. Pixar's Turning Red looks cute and I'm curious about Lightyear and how they'll approach that project. Unless I'm forgetting something, I think that's about it.
Personally, after
Raya and the Last Dragon (which I loved) I'm optimistic about WDAS' future, but
Frozen II is now officially my least favorite film from the studio (yes, I prefer
Chichen Little to it), so I don't completely trust Jennifer Lee yet. To be honest, I was more excited for
Raya than I am now for
Encanto, but I'm quite excited for
Encanto too, and it looks good to me so far. We know very little about
Searcher Clade, so I don't know yet how I feel about that film, but I like that it has a biracial protagonist and both Don Hall and Qui Nguyen worked on
Raya, so their involvement is encouraging to me. Regarding Pixar, I've either liked or loved all the films released after Pete Docter became chief creative officer, so I'm also quite optimistic about the studio's future.
Turning Red looks really good to me and I'm also excited for
Lightyear. As for live-action, as I said,
Disenchanted has to be my most anticipated movie, and then probably
The Little Mermaid, but mainly because of the songs. I'm also looking forward to
Sister Act 3, though I wish they made more original movies and less remakes and sequels.

I'm glad about that too. I was fearing they'd have small roles as well.
Disney's Divinity wrote:It will be interesting to hear Idina Menzel on a Menken song.
Yes, it will. Like Idina said in the interview, this film will also reunite her with Stephen Schwartz, who wrote the songs for
Wicked. I don't know why, but I think I hadn't realized that until now.
Disney's Divinity wrote:I would be more excited for this if it wasn't going to be Disney+ exclusive. Being excited is kind of pointless since I won't see it for years that way. I suppose it's the same way for Hocus Pocus 2, right?
It's unfair they don't make these movies available for everyone. I hope
Disenchanted and other Disney+ movies get released on home video eventually.

Rent a room? What do you mean by that, if you don't mind me asking?
