In other news I really think the world is trying to tell me I'm not supposed to own WDT or Ducktales on DVD. For the THIRD time my sets have been destroyed. This time by a flood caused by a burst water pipe at a friend's house who I had lent them too.

I may repurchase the Ducktales sets someday but I'm done with Treasures. They're too hard and expensive to replace.

Ah well, thems the breaks. :(

How were they destroyed the first two times??

In the future, if you must loan stuff to friends (shudder) don't loan as much at one time!

1 Treasure at a time, OR 1 Season set. maybe a couple of non-rare movies at once... :P

First time they were destroyed in a house fire a little over 2 years ago. Last summer the box holding all my treasures and tv sets went missing during my move. I had just got the insurance money for my stuff an re-bought everything I had lost about 3 weeks ago.

I usually don't lend so much out, but we've been friends for years and I've never had a problem with the way she treats my stuff.

Ah well, there's no sense belly aching over it. It's not like the flood was her fault. She lost way more stuff than I did.

Wow! They didn't even start filming HSM3 and you already have it on DVD! :P

I'm sure you meant HSM2. Did you get it at Wal-Mart? It comes with a store-exclusive bonus disc.* And POTC3 has a BestBuy exclusive bonus disc (which is better than half the bonuses on the regular two-disc set)

Scaps

*How sad that I know HSM2 has a store-exclusive bonus disc. It's even sadder that I want it, simply because it's a store-exclusive. But HSM2 was a bit more bearable than HSM1, and I'd be willing to give it a second chance.

Ah, I see. I'd still recommend the BestBuy bonus disc for At World's End. It's a great selection of serious bonus material, much better than the puff pastries of the regular bonus disc. I'm sure it can be bought on its own in stores for like...$5 or so.

I got that bonus disc when I bought it. Great features. Also, yes, I did see they were selling it separately for $5 at the time. Don't know if any are still available.

The "Pirates of the Caribbean 3" bonus disc was certainly well worth it as most of the Best Buy extra discs are. On Tuesday when I bought my Disney Treasures, my Best Buy still had stacks of bonus discs left, so if you want one call and see if your local Best Buy still has some.

This is an update of my Disney Collection since I last posted in August. I have added 72 titles to my collection. Same as last time, all are counted by title, not by disc, so each number is one release or title. (Ultimate Toy Box = 1). I did include double dips of titles which have had major updates such as the “limited edition” vs. “Platinum Edition” of The Little Mermaid etc.

Since August I have tried to complete my Live-Action collection and have most of them now. Below I have also seperated the titles into more subcategories, so it's easier to deciefer, the Walt Disney titles.

I will also include a few pictures at the end.

DVDs
Anchor Bay - 5 (Watcher in the Woods, Return to Oz, The Black Hole, Big Red & Legend of Lobo)
Buena Vista Home Entertainment - 9 (The Muppet Show, Bionicle, etc.)
Buena Vista/Touchstone Television - 34 (Desperate Housewives, Lost, Scrubs, etc.)
Criterion - 5 (Rushmore, Royal Tenenbaums, Armageddon, etc.)
Dimension - 48 (Scream, Scary Movie, etc.)
Dimension/Miramax - 2 (The Crow & Crow: City of Angels)
Disney Documentaries & Imax - 11 (Walt: The Man Behind the Myth, Frank and Ollie, Ghosts of the Abyss etc.)
Disney Parks – 11 (Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Disney Cruise Line and Christmas DVDs)
Disney Legacy - 4 (All the True-Life Adventures)
Disney Television - 17 (Ducktales, Chip 'n' Dale, Gummie Bears, etc.)
Disney Treasures - 25 (All released Disney Treasures)
Hollywood Pictures - 36 (The Rock, The Sixth Sense, etc.)
Miramax - 123 (The English Patient, Pulp Fiction, etc.)
Miramax/Ghibli - 1 (Princess Mononoke)
Miramax/Weinstein – 2 (The Matador & Breaking and Entering)
Pixar - 8 + 6 (All 7 films + double dips & Pixar Shorts vol. 1)
Studio Ghibli - 11 (Spirited Away, Howls Moving Castle, etc.)
Touchstone - 143 (Wild Hogs to Splash, etc.)
Walt Disney Pictures - 195 (The Reluctant Dragon to Pirates of the Caribbean 3)
Walt Disney Animation - 78 (Snow White to Meet the Robinsons including double dips etc.)
Walt Disney Toons - 48 (DuckTales, Bambi II, Return of Jafar Return to Neverland etc.)
Walt Disney Compilations - 28 (Funny Factory, Small World, Cartoon classics etc.)
Walt Disney Television - 17 (High School Musical, Zorro, Music Man etc.)
Walt Disney Films - 12 (Air Buddies, Other Side of Heaven, George of the Jungle 2 etc.)
Disney Kids - 28 (Rolie, Jojo, Baby Einsteins, Stanley, etc.)
Disney Music - 17 (Sing-Along, DisneyMania, School House Rock etc.)
Disney/Henson - 6 (Muppet Christmas Carol, Muppet Movie etc.)
Disney/Walden - 5 (Bridge to Terabithia, Around the World in 80 Days, Narnia etc.)
Disney Bonus Discs - 12 (Pirates of the Caribbean 2 & 3, Scrubs, Lost from Best Buy etc.)
Foreign Disney Releases - 13 (Donald in Mathmagicland, Mulan, Atlantis etc.)
Co-Distribution - 3 (Popeye, Dragonslayer & Running Brave)

Total Disney Distributed DVDs = 963

Well, I wish I did have more time to watch movies, but even still, I still watch a lot. I am a film major and often justify my excessive movie watching by saying I am studying my craft. :D

I also have a hard time sleeping, which is where my love for movies began, when I would spend my late nights watching movies.

Before anyone asks, yes despite all my film watching, I still have a well rounded life. I am a student, I work and travel quite a bit with friends.

I finally added A Bug's Life 2-Disc Collector's Edition. For some reason there was one copy that was marked down from $26 to $19 at the local Wal-Mart, so I picked it up. I thought it would come in as $26 (the other copies were marked $26) at the till but it came in as $19 :D

I'm thinking about getting Terebithia and Return to Neverland to add to my collection in the near future.

My collection is around 150 or so right now, but it grows quite fast, especially in the past few month, considering where I work now, a lot of DVDs have been added to my collection. As for anything released by Disney or one of it's sister company, here's the list

Non- Pixar Animated films:
- Aladdin: Platinum Edition
- Ducktales Movie (just came from the Rewards thing)
- A Goofy Movie
- Jungle Book: Platinum Edition (with Future Shop- exclusive steelbook)
- Meet the Robinsons (Blu-ray)

Pixar Animated Films:
- Toy Story: 10th Anniversary Edition
- Toy Story 2 SE
- A Bug's Life CE
- Monsters, Inc. CE
- Finding Nemo CE
- The Incredibles CE
- Cars (with Future Shop- exclusive steelbook)
- Ratatouille (Blu-ray)

WD Treasures (The tins):
- Disneyland: Stories, Secrets and Magic

Disney Live Action:
- National Treasure
- Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl (Blu-ray)
- Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End (Blu-ray)
- Santa Clause SE
- Santa Clause 2
- Santa Clause 3

Touchstone Live Action:
- The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy '05
- The Prestige (Blu-ray)

Plus, there's a few that I know that we have at work, and I should be picking up soon, so looks like that list will continue to grow.
