The normal releases. They're arranged chronologically (but you could've guessed that). The Pixars and other Disney's are seperate from the classics. I still need a lot of classics, I have 22 of them. Collecting them would go faster, if they weren't so expensive here.
Image
These are my special editions. I'm proud of the Snow White book case, and the Ultimate Toy Box. Still need the Fantasia Anthology, though.
And I have a couple of Treasures. I don't want them all, some of it just doesn't have my interest. But I still need a few (Chronological Donald vol. 2 and 3, for instance)

Patrick, your shelves are far too neat. In fact, they are so neat, they are somewhat creepy. I can't stand overt neatness!

Go mess them up this instant. :D
Most of my Blu-ray collection some of my UK discs aren't on their database

Just bought two new shelving units for my animation collection. I won't show you any of my non-animated movies, which you can kind of see on the far right. I have another shelving unit for my Disney figurines, toys, and plush (besides the one on the far left), which I'll set up and post pictures of in a few weeks or so.

I think PatrickvD's collection looks the best, simple, and to the point, very organized. I love it! Seeing almost every film in order, back to back like that makes me want to drool... lol

I'd post a picture of my collection, but it's so tiny. lol I'm working on getting as much Platinum Editions as I can, but I want to get them as cheap as possible, unless it's a movie I can't wait for. lol

Nice pictures, everyone! You all have no idea how luck you are. lol Nice job! :)

ultimatefilmfan wrote:Here is an update of my Disney collection, including the Disney Treasures I bought today. The Best Buy I went to had plenty of copies of each title.

The pictures will cover only some of my Disney titles as many are spread out into different areas, but below are most of them, under the Walt Disney Pictures banner.
Since I last posted, I have rearranged my Live-action Disney films in chronological order and have made more room on the Entertainment center shelves for Treasures etc.

What would you do differently in arranging? I am always open to suggestions.

These are some things I recently dug out of some boxes, a lot of this stuff I had forgotten I had. In the bags are some of my Collectible Disney pins,
I know I have more in another box. I have thousands of them, I'll have to go through them more closely in the future. I also found some Disney
buttons and badges as well.

Please offer any suggestions in arranging the collection.

Please everyone, keep posting your collections, it's wonderful to see how others display theirs, not matter the size.
It still amazes me the commitment you put into your collection . . . it was nice to see some closr shots of what DVDs you have, but the files were so big it took 1-2 minutes for the pictures to come up on my computer!!!

In examining your pictures I have a few comments . . . . as you asked for comments I will oblige.
1. I noticed you have very different True-Life Adventures covers. Did you make them yourself? I've thought about doing something similar.
2. You seem to have a lot of live action Disney movies! What is your ordering objective? Chronological? If so I have some questions.
- Why is Yellowstone Cubs after Old Yeller? Wasn't that made for TV?
- I've never seen "Where the Toys are Made" is that a movie?
- Running Brave and a few others are not Disney are they? Case isn't anyway?
- What is up with the Parent Trap being put in the 80's?!?
- If you are ordering in chronological why put George of the Jungle 2 and Inspector gadget 2 etc. after the first one? Makes some sense I guess as they are not theatrical, but why would Honey, We Shrunk Ourselves not be after Honey, I Blew up the Kid then?
- I didn't think the first two muppet movies were Disney.
- You seem to have most all of the animated and live-action DVDs available. Are you missing any which have been released? Probably some of the Anchor Bay DVDs, perhaps?
- It's hard to tell what you have displayed out on that table. Where did you get thouse badges?

I am always impressed with your collection and set up. You don't seem to use or display the bulky useless slipcovers or collectors boxes like some people do. I don't use them either, they would probably get ripped up anyway. Your DVD's flow really well and are well organized, I just don't quite understand some of your ordering. Like why is Davy Crocket DT not in anthology section?

Everyone keep posting updates, this is by far my favorite thread to view!!!

Littlefuzzy, I've looked to see if you have posted pictures of your collection, but couldn't find one. Don't you have any leaning discs? :?

You posted somehwhere that you buy a lot of movies, I'd be interested to see a pic of your setup . . . . minus leaning discs :)

I know! I ran out of bookends, so I need to buy some more. But they're organized, right? That's all that matters to me right now.
Braveheartdvd wrote:- What is up with the Parent Trap being put in the 80's?!?
You weren't asking me, but I think it's because that DVD includes the sequel, which was from the '80s. He already has another Parent Trap DVD in the '60s.

EDIT

Here are some slightly better pics! You can see more of the movies than before.

Umm...

"Listen to what I say, not what I do!" :P

I don't have a digital camera, or a way to get the shelves in one shot...

I actually have a lot of stuff in boxes because I've ran out of shelves. In fact, I recently had to pack up the Disney animated classics and Pixar films and use the space for TV sets. That was a shelving unit 32 inches wide, and 5 shelves high. It used to hold my entire collection, then it held all my anime box sets, after that it was Criterion DVDs, TV sets, and Disney, and now it is JUST TV sets, and has just a bit of space left... All of the Disney Treasures are in the linen closet, along with a bunch of other big box sets.

Also, I'm a slob... Perfectionist, yes, but a slob none the less!

Here is a pic from October 2003!! And yes, some of MY Disney DVDs were leaning in the pic! Back then, I would pull out my unwatched DVDs about an inch, so I could tell which ones I hadn't seen at a glance.

Here are the Disney DVDs by themselves:

I know I've posted, like, three times on the same page, but here's my entire set-up! I finally got all of my little figurines and toys up. You can't see everything in the glass case, sadly. On the second shelf is my brand-new WDCC figurine!!! It was a reward for improving on the ACT. Next to it is the WDCC '06 Ariel membership figurine, which you can't see. I think there are also Lady and Jasmine figurines hiding...
