You know, given where in the movie this scene occurs, I think that is supposed to be Esmerelda.

About your questuions about cover-making, well, I don't know what to say...

First of all, I take a look at the official covers, compositions, colors, etc, and try to do it in that same way. There is the problem that you have to take preexistent material for working, such as movie posters, past VHS and DVD editions, promotional material, etc.

It's not more than a composition work with the images I think it would fix in the cover and put it together digitally with Adobe Photoshop. I work with macromedia Freehand too, in terms of tipography and graphic elements.

I'm illustrator and graphic designer, and I was thinking of drawing my own Little Mermaid cover, you know, try to draw the characters in the same way they appear in the movie, not totally off-model as usual in DVD covers.
I'm not bad. I'm just drawn that way.

I actually like the Hercules one better than The Hunchback of Notre Dame one. Wow. Disney needs to hire you, but I bet all the people who do their covers get set rules and they just draw them.

Your cover art is lovely Chernobog, I'm glad someone though of Hercules.

Thank You Disney Duster, I'm glad you liked it.
I really think we should have 2 different covers when platinum editions get released, one of them should be mysterious and sophisticated (attractive to adults), the other should be more colorful and fun-looking (attracts younger audience) . This is the same type of propaganda Disney used to advertise their films, like when Beauty and the Beast got released back in 1991.

toonaspie, I can tell you used Paint, it's terribly hard to use (that's why I don't make covers anymore lol) but with some cleaning up, that could be a really good cover art.

paint is the only kind of program i can afford, lol

even if i had something more advance like photoshop it would take me thousand of years before I could finally get the hang up of it

Me, too. I have printshop, or whatever it's called, but it's not as good as photoshop. I'd love to get photoshop, though.

Chernobog you should submit your DVD covers to Disney and see what they think of them, cause you could have a caree in this.
