I've never even heard about it until today...... I'd rather have a That's So Raven Season Set.

Why would Disney release these relatively unheard of TV sets, instead of the immensly popular shows like Even Stevens!

P.S. I love the new design Disney is using for packaging!

I somehow missed out on hearing about this show, even though I had Disney Channel at the time. Go figure. It looks interesting, though, and if it's anything like the oh-so-wonderful <strike>Road To</strike> Tales From Avonlea, then it's likely to be great. (Oh, and just in case you were including <i>Avonlea</i> in your post, which I'm not sure if you were, it was a very popular Disney series at the time and it remains one of Canada's most popular series of all time ;)).

Ok,

I see that it tis time that the Disney Guru shared some of his wisdom.

Five Mile Creek,

Is a beautiful 80's Australian tv show.

About a stagecoach place.

Great tv series. One of "Nicole Kidmans" first roles, in some of the later episodes.

20 VHS Set Released in: 1985

15 VHS Set ReReleased in: 1992

Apparently Miss Kidman, purchased the right to the final 5 volumes.

I am lucky enough to have all 20 volumes on VHS.

I will deffinately be buying this dvd set.

Great Classic TV Show.

I had hoped that Disney would have released this title like they did for VHS. However this is more cost wise way of release (by the season).

I can't believe hardly anybody's ever heard of this......

This is by far one of the best series Disney ever made!! If your looking for romance, comedy, action and adventure for the whole family, this is the set to get. I just recently purchased all 20 volumes off of eBay, that set me back over 300 dollars.

If you like the classic Disney's of yesteryear, when they still put some wholesome values in their shows, then you'll love these! :)

I can now replace my poor worn and used VHS tapes of this wonderful series. I never thought that it would see the light of day on DVD, but yes, thank you Disney. This is one of the best series ever on television, bar none. I thought I was the only one who knew that it was one of the earliest Nicole Kidman sightings.

This is one series a person can do no wrong by blind buying it. It is family entertainment at its best.

Why do you use the  symbol to end each of your posts? It doesn't even make sense to put that emotion on most of your posts! Its overrated.

Back on topic: Is that really nicole kidman, that frizzball? Wow, shes become a lot more beautiful as the years have progressed

It's just his way of ending a post.

I think the frizzy hair is sorta sexy, but that's just me. And it was set in a time period when they didn't have special shampoos or conditioners to straighten frizzy hair...

"Five Mile Creek" was on from 1983-1985 and was a total of 39 episodes. So they will probably give us three thirteen episode volumes. This was the last TV series exposure for Nicole and then she made her motion picture debut in "BMX Bandits" in 1985 and the rest we know is history.

One of my favorite Nicole Kidman movies is "Far and Away". Reminds me a whole lot of the "Five Mile Creek" series.

I love that movie. Wonder if Universal will ever release a 2-disc special edition (the theatrical version, with branching features to show the extended tv version as well, along with a bonus disc with extras). F&A was one of Universal's early DVDs (early as in from 1998), wasn't it?

Did the movie do well at the Box Office? It was directed by Ron Howard, so I can't imagine it not doing well....

I picked this up last week, and I have to agree with the reviewer-not much thought was given to this release. While having Five Mile Creek on DVD is just plain wonderful, the fact that there are no extras or restoration shows not much thought was given to this release. Still, I've been a fan of this show for years, even since the first release back in 1983, so I can't really complain too much. But it would have been nice to have had some thought put into this release.
