Re: The Little Mermaid Discussion

When Ariel is drawn well, she’s as beautiful as Aurora, Snow White and Cinderella. When she’s drawn poorly she looks too cartoony for me. Same with Belle. They're both drawn well in most shots in their movies. There are some rare instances when they look weird, but the same goes for Snow White, Cin...

Oh, they finally announced the Disney+ release date. I will watch it then, and will decide if I'll get the Blu-ray or not. :D

Re: The Little Mermaid Discussion

A scene that sometimes makes me cry in The Little Mermaid is at the end, where Ariel tells Triton that she loves him. That sometimes makes me cry, depending on my mood.

Re: The Little Mermaid Discussion

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4UBWbRQkW6I&t=46s Hey guys, did you see this? A user on YouTube posted has posted this workprint version of POYW reprise scene. I love it, it has so many alternate shots. For example, we see a lot more of Ariel, as she begins singing the first verses, and her faci...

Re: Cinderella (Live-Action)

I actually didn't know that. Thanks for sharing, Sotiris. That would've been an interesting idea, but I'm glad they decided to do a more faithful adaptation.

Re: The Little Mermaid Discussion

Thanks for confirming, Duster. I have asked my friend to show me pictures of the VHS, and the artwork has been cropped, both on the front and on the back (a lot of the text is missing), so I really doubt it's a genuine copy from Disney.

Re: The Little Mermaid Discussion

Guys, do you know if the Black Diamond VHS of the movie was also released as a slipcover as well as a clamshell? I have a friend on Facebook who purchased two slipcovered versions, and wants to know if they're genuine. I have looked online, and the only VHS with a slipcover was the 2006 Platinum Edi...

Re: The Little Mermaid Discussion

Oh, I recently acquired the 3D version of The Wizard of Oz on Blu-ray. I was a bit skeptical, cause I really didn't think that movie would need a 3D conversion, but it was so nicely done.

Re: Pinocchio (Live-Action)

Too bad it sucked.... Too bad it actually didn’t suck, but people are too stubborn and or pre-judged and biased towards Disney to realize how amazing and truly representative and respectful of Disney it truly is, unlike certain other things they’ve done recently such as Chip and Dale REFERENCE Rang...

Re: The Little Mermaid Discussion

I saw both The Lion King and Beauty and the Beast in 3D during their re-releases. During that time, a 3D conversion was the main reason a major motion picture could be re-released in theaters. Both were awesome experiences.

Re: Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs Discussion

In the second one, I love how she wears her peasant dress, but it's colored as her Princess dress, except the puffy sleeves. But it's a really cool design, it's not a scene they use to market the film.

Re: Which Disney movies (or scenes) make you cry?

1. Mufasa's death - every single freaking time. When he says the last "Help", and the tears start rolling his cheeks, that's when I lose it. 2. Baby Mine in Dumbo 3. Bambi's mother dies. 4. The pound scene in Lady and the Tramp - I've always thought it would be a great commercial to convin...

Re: The Little Mermaid Discussion

What I liked the most in the 1997 trailer is how they combine Part of your world with the reprise. "Wanderin' free, wish I could be", and then the triumphant "Part of your world!" from the reprise.

I was browsing through Facebook, and I found another alternative design for the Cinderella Platinum Edition DVD cover. Apparently, Philo Barnhart did this art.

Re: The Little Mermaid Discussion

Hey guys, sorry for my absence, I've been super busy with work these days. One of my friends on Facebook shared this on a group. It's publicity material from the 1997 re-release in theaters. They market the movie as the beginning of the Renaissance period, with emphasis on Beauty and the Beast, Alad...
