Re: Turning Red

I detect large amounts of comedy coming this way ^^ :D
The Annecy Festival is always a great opportunity for first visuals! I really need to show up some year :]] !

By the way does anybody notice an Easter egg for Turning Red inside Luca ?

Re: Pixar's Luca

Just saw the movie, and I'm kind of in love that it!!! It is very atmospheric. It is very centered around children (adult parts are intentionally really secondary when not nearly forgettable) . I really wonder how comes Pixar is sooooo good at depicting children? It's amazing, really good and...

Re: Cruella (Live-Action)

Honestly, all of the 101 Dalmatians projects Disney has done have contradicted each other with each one drifting further and further away from Dodie Smith's book. True! I remember watching when I was a kid the 1997 TV Series 101 Dalmatians , and there were maaaaaany plot holes between the series an...

Re: Jungle Cruise

...so there's the old version of the ride, the one being worked on (that has a brand new story- the Theme Parks subforum here has info on that if you're interested), and then the film... Indeed. Yet none of the previous or current versions of the attraction includes elements of fantasy if I’m corre...

Re: Cruella (Live-Action)

Wow agree to disagree ^^ To me 2019 will always remain as the year of “uninspiration” as far as the Disney live-action department is concerned. Regardless of what numbers they did in a pre-pandemic world, it was a very excruciating year to go through because of the low quality of its 5 remakes (a re...

Re: Jungle Cruise

I'm getting POTC vibes for sure Indeed! To me it is something that maybe took a liiiiiittle bit off actually (with the cursed conquistadors..) I think ‘Jungle Cruise’ should be its own thing: the theme park attraction has a very different feel compared to POTC! and so should the potential franchise...

Re: Cruella (Live-Action)

This remake/spin-off/prequel I liked!! It was consistent enough and actually rather good and entertaining! Which is MORE than I can say with most of these last remakes. It is really relieving for once to witness Disney at least trying with one of their live-action productions, even taking a few risk...

Re: Raya and the Last Dragon

I saw the movie on Friday and, yeah, as anticipated, it lives up to the expectations! :) Compared to other recent WDAS productions, you can tell this one clearly took them yeeears of development to get there. If I had to make a raw review, beginning with what is best : The world building in this mov...

Re: Pixar's Luca

According to journalist Drew Taylor , who works for Collider, the teaser trailer will be released this week! Thank goodness it's coming :) This is a good sign this movie won't be pushed back as many other movies were, and they do intend to release it this Summer (although as long as we aren't close...

Re: Raya and the Last Dragon

If you scrutinize the shots of the trailers attentively, there are some interesting spoilers to be spotted there  I hope this movie will do well, but with the $30 fee again, and a theatrical release this soon this year, and the decrease of purchasing power of people in general, I have my dou...

Re: Cruella (Live-Action)

I remember the very short introduction of the project by Emma Stone at 2019 D23 Expo was comical. I wonder if they kept the same quality of comedy.

I feel you! Same to me. It works like this for some people. This scene was very depression-like actually :o

Here's How Pixar's "Soul" Was Originally Supposed To End https://www.buzzfeed.com/larryfitzmaurice/pixar-soul-original-ending "We went back and forth on the ending up until the last screening," Murray explained. "For a long time, Joe did go to The Great Beyond." [...] ...

Re: Pixar's Soul

Just saw the movie this morning: another impressive one! I really liked it. It is quite dark from the beginning (death has now a defined sound and visual representation in this world, which is enough to retain the attention despite being random) and might sometimes be depressing, which makes it an o...

Re: Pixar Spark Shorts

I was not expected to like this short this much! It might be my favourite of all the Pixar SparkShorts! (potentially beating "Out")
It is indeed cute Sotiris, and I loved the 2D animation style! There are some niiice variations here.
