I just saw The Incredible Journey for the first time yesterday, and boy was I surprised - the film has a song in it that is sung in my mother language... Never expected to hear one in an old Disney film.

I have them both, and they're both anamorphic widescreen, so yes.

Can't say that I'm easily offended, but I do strongly feel that this kind of stuff is not appropriate on a Disney forum and that Disney characters shouldn't be used like that. I found the whole thing only discusting.

That's weird. Does it have the original mono soundtrack? I doubt t, because Jungle Book didn't.

The French Black Cauldron DVD's transfer is much better, as you may already have heard.

There were a coulpe of them, so I might get them mixed up, but I think it had Donald's Dilemma, Donlad's Dream Voice and Cured Duck in it. The whole episode was about curing Donald's temper and I recall Ludwig Von Drake claiming it is connected to the way he speaks. I hope I'm not completely off. It...

So, is the UK 101 Dalmatians DVD widescreen or not...?

This review reveals that the French release is fullscreen like the R1 DVD.

Mutant Enemy, the book (if its like the Jungle Book one) will be totally worthless. I wouldn't worry. I bet some of your US store exclusives will be of better value. According to the pictures on page 5 of this thread, the book has storyboards and behind-the-scenes photos in it, so I wouldn't discar...

It's a compilation of Donald Duck cartoons with animated bridging sequences featuring Ludwig Von Drake and Donald, if I remember correctly. It's been years since I've seen it.

On some rare occasions, certain DVDs aren't compatible with certain players. My old Jungle Book DVD used to stop by itself right at the beginning of the credits. I replaced it at the store, and the new disc had the same problem. Then I tried with another player and it played fine.

Re: Disney Treasures wave 8: The Chronological Donald vol.4

A few years ago, I planned to buy only one Davy Crockett product and I wanted the most complete and worthwhile release. I weighed reviews and comments about the differences between the Crockett Treasure volume and the 2-movie set (It's a 2-movie set, not a 2-disc set.), and ended up choosing to pur...

it looked the same to me, just matted. I think the previous release looked pretty good already. The TV episode (if only an excerpt) and the deleted song featurette were both great extras IMO. True, there isn't loads of material, but with a 16:9 transfer and two great new extras, I don't feel my mon...

I'm actually VERY happy that they are including the theatrical feature as well as all of the television episodes together. Why? Do we really need them both? I think I would have preferred it combined with another 3-parter, kind of like how three episodes of both Elfego Baca and Swamp Fox shared a s...

I have to say (no, I don't, but I want to because I'm bored) that I don't care for the Princess franchise at all. I think Sleeping Beauty and some others as well are great and really beautiful films, but the princess merchandice doesn't do any justice to them. It makes the characters look too pastel...

A widescreen transfer would be reason enough for me to buy the new release. But if 101 Dalmatians turns out to be fullscreen, I'm not that confident this one won't be fullscreen as well.
