Re: Strange World

New Strange World poster spliced with old Frozen poster 8) Yes, it's very reminiscent of that Frozen poster. I like it, though. Here's the Dolby one, which is very similar to a previous Strange World poster: https://i.imgur.com/ZsYJAUE.jpg Source: https://twitter.com/strangeworld/status/15925781849...

Re: Strange World

Here are the Top 10 Grossing Animated Features of 2022. As you can see, Minions proved that the animated-blockbuster is still alive in the post-covid world. Every other feature is under $250 worldwide, with Dreamworks The Bad Guys just missing the 250 mark. Strange World has to at least sur-pass DC ...

Re: Strange World

If Raya & Encanto are gonna use the Pandemic as an excuse for their low Box Office, then we have to excuse Atlantis & Treasure Planet too. Atlantis failed because of Shrek 1 & the Live-Action Tomb Raider. Treasure Planet failed because it went heads up against the Harry Potter sequel Cha...

Re: Strange World

What I don't understand is why Disney didn't release this in early October? The only features coming out next month is another Halloween film & Black Adam. There're no animated features in Theaters right now other than the summer hold over DC Super Pets. WDAS is just stubborn to always releasing...

Article by Forbes: Strange World must succeed where Atlantis failed. https://www.forbes.com/sites/scottmendelson/2022/09/21/can-walt-disneys-strange-world-succeed-where-atlantis-failed/?sh=5051697d6bc1 It also mentions the low Box Office intakes of Raya & Encanto. Raya being outgrossed by the Pa...

Re: Strange World

I don't think I've been less interested in a WDAS film since probably Chicken Little or Meet the Robinsons. Everything about this one screams generic, dull and derivative. It looks like an animated film made by a second-rate foreign studio for Netflix or something. I've been following this film via...

Re: Penelope

The report by The DisInsider seems like complete BS. Penelope is a live-action project by Walt Disney Studios, not WDAS. Besides, we know that the next WDAS movie is based on personal story by Carlos Lopez Estrada, so it's highly unlikely it's an adaptation of a European fairy tale. Even though Est...

Re: D23 Expo 2022

This is the original article: https://deadline.com/2022/07/disney-penelope-robert-sudduth-1235074129/ The way Deadline describes the project means that it is definitely not an animated film, and so far I have a hard time trusting Disinsider, I see that they still use the name Foster even though it'...

Penelope

Could this be WDAS first Fairy-Tale since Frozen? We'll see on Sept. 9.

Re: Strange World

so far Im not feeling this movie. I agree I don't like the character designs...looks almost interchangeable with the ones from Lightyear. Also why do the male characters look so damn muppety?! Im sick of these nerdy male leads with big comically balloon noses. Bruno had one too. Nerdy guys with big...

Re: Strange World

And here we go: I was expecting the teaser trailer to drop next week before Lightyear's release. WDAS actually went a whole 6 months via the film's official announcement & had no leaks of any kind :o They actually were able to reveal the characters properly. Jake Gyllenhaal voicing Search Clade ...

Re: Strange World

Why are there two Avatar logos in that image DisneyEra posted of the lineup? I know Way of Water is the sequel, what's the other one? It's sort of odd seeing the TLM logo sandwiched among all those Marvel movies and Indiana Jones... (And it's easily the most visually appealing logo there.) It's the...
