Same sort of prices as play.com.

I've just ordered their "exclusive packaging" Lion King Trilogy for £17.99 - hey, £6 a movie AND exclusive packaging... Now, that's cheap!

The Computer Wore Tennis Shoes is "open matte" - just zoom in on your widescreen TV and it will look the same as it did in the cinema (i.e. 1.78:1)

If you don't have a widescreen telly just cover up the top and bottom of the screen!

Too bad I know it'll [not] arrive until next week because I didn't wanted to pay $24 for the fastest shipment!!! The Amazon shipping charges are the main reason I don't order from them anymore. Here in the UK there are loads of other "freepost" options for R1 DVDs... I can recommend...

Well it seems that all the R1 discs that I buy from <b>play.com</b> have a tiny Canadian flag on the back and the "Version francaise incluse" print on the front.

Perhaps <b>playusa</b> should rename themselves <b>playcanada</b>!

Why doesn't the DVD Empire scan of the regular cover show a Platinum banner...I'm not really worried because the pics from DVDFile prove that it'll have one, but I'm wondering why the scan at DVDEmpire doesn't. Does the slipcase not have one but the actual Amaray case does? I don't know why. They b...

Is there any chance, please, of scanning the Maleficent photograph as I cannot get the Disney Magazine here in England? Yeah, I'd love to get hold of this recent issue. I tried WHSmith but was told they couldn't even order it for me! So I ended up taking out a subscription on the disney.com site. (...

Aladdin 2-disc PE

Well I'm almost through watching my R1 Aladdin discs (they arrived yesterday morning). I watched the film first with the Filmmakers' Audio Commentary. Interesting how they mention the urban myth about the "Teenagers Take Off Your Clothes" bit along with an explanation on why Jasmine then g...

Postage

is there a postage charge if i order peter pan from alapage.com to the U.K.? Yes! The €29.99 price tag is just for the DVDs. The shipping ("Frais de Port") on the two items I ordered came to €10.76 which is 7.30 GBP. Not cheap, but a lot more convenient than travelling through the Euro tu...

BB 3DVD + PP 2DVD

Well, it's taken a whole week but my DVD orders from alapage.com arrived safely a few minutes ago. They were delivered to my door by Royal Mail and thankfully there was no import duty to pay. In fact, there was no customs sticker on the package. Both items, Peter Pan (2 disc) and Brother Bear (3 dis...

"Made In Taiwan"

Although you are correct in your conclusion that this is a bootleg you are totally wrong on the indications. Asia is a large market for DVDs as well is Taiwan. There are lots of legal shops that sells legal copies, so it would be unpolite to the Asian population to say that all that comes from Asia...

Yikes, this is new for me. Nothing unusual, <b>Udvarnoky</b> As they mention at the bottom of their pages, <b>eFilmic</b> is based in Taiwan. Therefore the majority, if not all of their DVDs for sale are <i>pirate copies</i>. Certainly all their Disney titles are! Check out their <a href="http...

Obviously BV UK decided that us Brits would prefer the "family friendly widescreen" instead of OAR! Or perhaps they just wanted to be different to the rest of Europe...?

Was I-Man a theatrical release, or was it made for TV? I-Man was one of Disney's TV films, and the first film to star Scott Bakula (who later shot to fame as Dr. Sam Beckett in Quantum Leap). For pre-orders like Kidnapped and Gnome Mobile you're better off ordering from <a href="http://www.pla...

the proper aspect ratio in the French set is the only difference with the UK's Phew! In that case I'm happy as I don't like the zoomed in UK edition and this seems to be the only way to get the OAR in PAL format... Just checked my order status and both DVDs are on their way to me from France. I'll ...

The R1 "Limited Issue" release looks fine to me (the kids watched it 3x in a row yesterday!) I also have the full-frame (P&S?) R2 edition of LITTLE MERMAID which has the Peter Andre song at the end! I rarely watch that one, though, as I prefer to stick to the widescreen releases for my...

Hmmm... it's says it is in 2.35:1 ratio which is why I ordered it. Are you sure it is the same as the UK edition? (not sure if I can cancel it now)
