Re: Disenchanted

Just watched!! Things I liked were the 2D animation… the casting… the songs( made me wish for more original musicals from Disney….they do musicals best!) and the aesthetic was fantastic! The overall Disney Easter eggs were a delight. The style of this film was clearly influenced by the Disney tv ver...

Re: Disney Plus (Streaming Service)

I have enjoyed it thus far; still hard to tell because I am curious about the addition of content and the rotation of titles. There are still quite a few kinks left to improve it, but, that’s hopefully going to evolve over time. I have always felt that this was a rushed product and has delivered in ...

Re: Scarecrow of Romney marsh DMC BLURAY EXCLUSIVE

I am hoping this is the three episodes as seen on The Wonderful World of Color and not the edited theatrical release. The digital version of The Prince and the Pauper from the same series is on all major outlets, is sadly the European theatrical edit. Sadly, unlike the episodic presentation which ad...

Re: Disney Plus (Streaming Service)

Darn!! I was really hoping for more of the classic films (live action) to be included..I see quite a few missing. Also , really hoping that “ Disneyland “ and “Wonderful World of Color” episodes will be added.

Re: Disney Plus (Streaming Service)

From what I understand, Disney has not reached an agreement with Amazon; so I am not sure if Disney+ will be available for Fire products or not. Especially since we have about 8 weeks before the launch. This sucks! Because I stream everything through my Firestick. I have hope that there will be an a...

Re: Spider-Man: Far From Home

Just saw it today and I was pleasantly surprised to see that it was just as enjoyable as the first. Tom Holland is really growing into the role! Excited to see where Marvel plans to go now. Btw! having Whitney Houston’s voice open the movie was amazing!! You can never have enough of that voice!!

Re: The Walt Disney Signature Collection

I would like to know the same thing... if this release is a better restoration/print than the Diamond edition then I will splurge...but if not I’ll keep what I have. Does anybody know if Little Mermaid is a better release than the Diamond edition? These releases drive me crazy with the lack of promo...

Re: What's a walt era fan to do?

Sorry for my late reply! I have been swamped with work and home projects. To continue your search for these lost treasures, I would suggest sites like sell.com and ioffer.com. It has been several years ago, but, I was able to get several dvd=r copies of various titles from "Disneyland", &q...

Re: What's a walt era fan to do?

Feel free to pick away! It’s nice to see other fans who appreciate this specific franchise in the Disney canon. I’ve been a staunch advocate for these underrated classics (specifically The Wonderful World of Color, Disneyland$. So anything you would like to know, ask away

Re: Frozen 2

Interesting discussion about the costumes (clothing) from the various Disney animated films. Or is tough to determine a specific time period or place in history due to many anachronistic details throughout the canon. Personally I would like to think that it adds to the appeal of the films that they ...

Re: Frozen 2

So, I loved the teaser! But, I am so intrigued about the concept. This seems to be a epic story. If I had to give a guess, I believe the concept of the 4 seasons will factor in this story somehow. This would harken back to the Snow Queen fairy tale, where her sisters each represent Summer, Spring, F...

Re: What's a walt era fan to do?

So good to see there are those dedicated few who still keep the fires burning for the "lost vintage era" titles. Sadly, this is a part of the Disney catalog which I feel is going to be completely forgotten or unavailable due to years of mitigating factors. You will find various collectors ...

Re: Live -Action Renaissance?

The live action "remakes" have been hit or miss in my opinion. Some I have loved...some not so much. I do have a feeling that this "nostalgia" factor that Disney is banking on, will eventually get redundant. I wish that they would adapt more original material rather than this con...

Classic Disney films/ quality on digital services

I have been collecting most of the classic live action Blu Ray releases via DMC. However, I have started putting most of my collection on a digital storage platform. I was curious if any other fans have purchased any of these via iTunes, Amazon, etc and if so, what is the quality? Those I am particu...

Re: Disney Animation on Blu-ray in 2018

Interesting that "Once Upon A Wintertime" is included....this is a segment from "Make Mine Music" which has yet to be released on Blu-Ray/HD...so I am curious if this means that the entire film has been remastered or just this short (it was released theatrically on it's on in the...

Ugh! I am so conflicted about this; part of me wants to like it but another part is like “why?” And I am starting to get sick of the remakes. ....there are just too many imho. However, the production values are amazing on this film!

I have not really enjoyed any of the episodes post the “something about the spire”( the title escapes me). Re: Movies you'd like to see Disney do currently

There are so many great stories that Disney should adapt: for years I have hoped for Theseus and the Minotaur, The Wish Gover, The Count of Monte Cristo, Hansel and Gretel, The Princess and the Pea to be potentially given a chance. The constant remakes, and sequels are going to get old ..mark my words

Re: DuckTales (Remake)

I enjoy this show so much! I have watched a few of them at least twice. The animation took time to grow on me, but the voice cast is awesome. The real treat is that the nephews personalities are expanded. The only character design I don’t care for is the Beagle Boys and Ma. Not sure how I feel about...
