Re: The different eras in feature animation
Poking my head up from the abyss to say it's irritating that they wouldn't go with the WIDELY agreed-upon "Disney Renaissance" label instead of the "Second Golden Age" Also, strange that WDAS has clearly included Bolt in pieces of promo material celebrating their current run, but...

Re: High Resolution Textless Disney Posters
Sorry to dig up this dusty thread, but I'm wondering if anyone might happen to have a hi res textless version of this poster? Thanks a bunch!

Re: Disney's Bolt is NOT part of the Revival Era
Yes it's for sure a bit revisionist. You could make a bit of an argument - although not a great one - about the smaller amount of reworking that was done on Robinsons once Lasseter came on. Regardless though, like I said... as far as I'm concerned at least, what the studio says, goes.

Re: Disney's Bolt is NOT part of the Revival Era
I definitely agree that Bolt is a transition film, and isn't necessarily in the same category as others. But at the end of the day this argument is pointless because WDAS themselves have, on multiple occasions now, endorsed the idea that the current era of Disney Animatiom starts with Bolt. So, that...

Re: High Resolution Textless Disney Posters
Thanks Sicoe. It's really strange that the full illustration is out there, it's been used for a poster, and yet it's practically impossible to find. Hmm.

Re: High Resolution Textless Disney Posters
Wanted to see if anyone here might be able to help out. I'm looking for this poster: http://i.imgur.com/TJIvJqz.jpg But this is the highest resolution I can find online. It's easy to find the close-up version of this poster, where you don't see the sky or palm trees, but I'm looking for this full ve...

Re: The Silly Symphony Collection
They've confirmed its $399.98, and will include a digital copy of the entire set.
While on the one hand, it's definitely a reasonable price - Mondo's vinyls have been more expensive - it's still a LOT of cash to drop at once. I want to do it really bad but don't know if I can justify.

Re: The Legacy Collection
^ I have a feeling that it's because it's Pixar. All the extra steps to get every little thing approved. I'm sure that's why some stock pose images are used in place of concept art. I'm guessing thats also at least part of the reason Toy Story was delayed a few months.

Re: The Legacy Collection
Yeah, this one's a bit underwhelming. Not bad by any means, but not the most exciting. But, it's great to see the entire collection! They really look fantastic as a whole:

Re: The Legacy Collection
Exactly- these are deluxe editions, basically. Half of the collection has been music that has been available already, but it's the presentation as a collection that I find appealing- with new artwork, behind the scenes stuff, etc. It's my feeling that every Disney and Pixar classic is deserving of a...

Here's a list of all releases so far: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Walt_Di ... Collection
We're getting pretty close to the end of the announced titles. I hope they announce a second year of the collection soon - maybe at D23?

Unfortunately I doubt it. Who knows though, maybe with enough reason to they would. Disney Music Emporium seems very responsive the couple times I've emailed them about things. If they get enough messages, maybe it'd help

The ones that are currently available individually are the back covers. The ones that were exclusive to the full series preorder are the front covers.

Re: The Legacy Collection
Aristocats is the last announced of the collection, out August 18th. Strange that we've got cover art for it before Pocahontas, which is out in July. I'll agree that Toy Story is a strange choice for the collection, but on the other hand I'm alright with them including anything and everything under ...

Re: The Legacy Collection
What! He does not look awful! It looks exactly like a color script board from the film would have looked like! The intention isn't for them to be on model. Either way though, it's the music that's important. And in this case, Toy Story has never had a full soundtrack release - even to the cast and c...

Re: The Legacy Collection
Aristocats looks fantastic! So now Pocahontas is all that's left for cover art... at least until they announce more!
