Re: Disney Princesses Got a Makeover
Honestly, they're more true to the actual animation as well. Disney is notorious for animating its female characters with giant heads, especially since CGI has come into play. No, Disney never made their character's head that big or their whole bodies that out of proportion. Elsa's head is almost a...

Disney discontinues 'Frozen' champagne-style drink following campaigners' fury http://mashable.com/2015/12/28/disney-frozen-kids-champagne/ I feel like there isn't much wrong with the actual product, but the lines used to market it ("grown-up alternative to juice and pop at parties") are ...

Re: Moana
And btw. Reviewers and users in general were ranting about Elsa and Anna's huge eyes. And that Anna resembled Rapunzel. I wonder what they'll rant about with Moana. Being a Polynesian version of Merida? :P Or a CGI version of Tiana? :P Honestly, most of Disney's CGI main female characters look exac...

Re: A question about tipping
As a waitress, I wouldn't judge someone who didn't tip when getting carryout (as all the points made above are very valid), but it is really appreciated if you do, as by carrying the food out you are taking away an opportunity for you to come in and eat a meal. So if a normally dine-in restaurant de...

I think the head sizes are actually a good change. The Disney Princess line as it is (or, was) stands out like a sore thumb in the doll aisles. With dolls like Monster High, https://i.ytimg.com/vi/lqvCrCRoPCM/maxresdefault.jpg , Ever After High, http://media.mattel.com/root/Images/MainImage/CLC64_Ev...

I don't have a problem with these, they're just underwear, and can hardly be described as sexy. Yeah but they're usually sexual underwear, stuff you wear before you do the the * frick frickle *, and these are Princess Disney girls that 5- 10 year girls look up as role models, it just seems [ imo] c...

I love how in tumblr everybody was hoping the film would crash and burn, and looking now at the numbers it's turning into the hottest thing of Disney in years. I wonder what will the tumblerers explain for that success. Really? Why would the tumblerers wanting that? So far as I've seen, everyone on...

Re: "Frozen" Ushers in New Disney Renaissance!
I would say that it is more of a renaissance than a revival. Firstly, you can have more than one renaissance. Secondly, the films are of a different nature. They look different and are told differently. Revival is more like what happened in the 50s, Disney went back to making films of the quality p...

Let It Go for me. Idina Menzel is an absolute goddess, her vocals are incredible. I'm a sucker for power ballads, and obviously, the animation throughout the sequence is fantastic.

Yep, I spent three days in Paris and a day in Disneyland. Not nearly enough time for either of them... :( I wish I had known someone from UD was there, maybe we could have arranged some sort of a get-together... Perhaps we should have a thread where we could state our holiday plans, something like ...
