Which further makes you wonder how things might have been had the original 1990 merger gone through as planned; then we could conceivably combine both projects somehow (any thoughts here?). Back in the present, speaking of cameos, do you suppose they'll be able to get some of the surviving Muppeteer...

I'll admit I did find the characters arriving for work and punching in at the beginning quite amusing.

If they ever get around to counting down the top 100 family films (frankly I'm surprised they haven't yet), I'm sure close to half the canon should be included, as well it should. By and large I agreed with this year's listing in the field, although probably a couple of others probably could have ma...

Well you never know, maybe someday down the line any of them may still get made, and with the right convergence of talent, something grand might end up on screens.

I am rather surprised DVD sets for The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh haven't hit stores yet. Given Pooh's high standing as a company marketing tool, one would think these would have been among the first of the classic shows to hit shelves.

That was pretty much my line of thinking as well, perhaps around Trieste or so. I can't help wondering if maybe Eric's kingdom isn't part of any known country. After all, they've got quite an intriguing estuary ecosystem, with tropical flamingoes and seal lions interliving with freshwater mallards a...

If they were to try something Gothic, one possibility that bears potential would be a non-tragic adapation of The Niebeliedlung cycle; Siegfried looks like an interesting choice for hero.

Wizard of Oz as feature

It's been well recorded that Walt considered doing Baum's stories for a time, possibly as a Mickey vehicle, but could never get anything together. Do you think it may be something worth trying today? Or do you think MGM's version is simply too ingrained in people's concienceness for anyone to try.

Short cartoons can also be entered, so I would also lobby for eventual inclusion for at least The Band Concert and The Old Mill for sure, maybe alos including Brave Little Tailor and Clock Cleaners, which made the Top 50 Cartoons list back in 1994. Most of the features probably will make the registr...

If it's still due for release next year, we should be seeing final/near final artwork in the near future. I especially look forward to Louis the alligator, who might just steal the show for me as long as he's not a Sebastian clone.

sweetest moment in Silly Symphony

Which was your most heartwarming part in the entire series? For me it would have to be the little rabbit's reunion with its family after Little Hiawatha decides to spare it. While the concept of the "cute Disney bunny" may have become a cultural cliche of sorts, you really can't help feeli...

Hello, I'm freshly new here, Even in the later parts of career as this was, and even if the material wasn't his own John Hughes still could write a better story than half the industry. Makes it a little disappointing the Eisner-Wells team never brought him on board when he was at his peak; they woul...
