It comes with a slipcover, has English 7.1, English 2.0 Audio Descriptive and Italian, Spanish and Dutch 5.1. Subtitles are English, Spanish, Italian and Dutch. The second Blu-ray disc of bonus features has more languages - they appear to be using the same disc 1 for the whole of Europe. Thanks! I ...

Hey MattDean, I might be interested in the UK edition of the Blu-Ray, could you tell us if the case came with a slipcover much like the US release? and also, what other languages does the set have other than English in audio tracks and subtitles?

Thanks!

I'm begining to ger worried over the fact that since it's going to be on Blu-Ray whether or not it'll actually have 2-discs. I mean the trailer doesn't say 2-discs at all. Is there anything anywhere that says it will be? I think that with the higher space capacity that offers the blu ray technology...

Okay, I'm done talking to both of you about that because it's obvious we will never agree on the subject :D One more thing though. Again ror the 3rd time, Marky_198, why would you say, "What they do with the new restorations, is making the movies flat, empty, crisp, bright, vivid, childish, lik...

I'm sorry I got confused about who did the screenshot, I thought it came from drsd2kill, I read the other thread too fast. I apologize disneystarsfan. It was just to make a point, since you thought too that the 2003 restoration was bad and you offered a "correction" with your personnal scr...

The sequels are not too colorful, and shiny, and "over-bright". They are just lacking atmosphere, it looks like evrything is coloured in with the computer, they look simple and childish. Just like the classics after the restorations. Look at the screenshot with Pinnocchio and the candle. ...

Jordan, it's not about that. Colour is a different issue. drsd2kill, I absolutely agree with you. Look at the Pinocchio screenshots. If you truly like the last ones best, you have no idea what a Disney animated classic was. Ps. I have the different versions of Pinocchio too, and I can assure you, i...

Jordan - Do you see any problem with flattening out the backgrounds on these releases by overbrightening them? Sure, we can see a lot more of the background art on PINOCCHIO and CINDERELLA now - but where did the mood lighting go? Color is a seperate issue - one I'm not going to try to argue for ri...

I've just posted this in the Pinnochio thread but it also applies here so... ;-) IMO, I think we should all be reminded of the following things on the changes of the restoration based on this screencaps before judging it: 1) The brighter colors that you can see on older transfers are not necessarily...

101 Dalmatians will come first, in March 2008, and Sleeping Beauty will follow in October 2008. Now that is strange. I know the more popular titles in the PE series are released in October and the March release is usually the smaller hit. SB may be a far more accomplished piece of art than 'Dalmati...

I'm pretty sure I found the first stills of the restored TJB set. They can be found here . Or, for those too lazy, here are the minimized pics. (You can enlarge them if you go on the site, but I don't want to take up too much bandwidth. ) http://mb.laughingplace.com/lotion/pics/SSMovie-Jungl...

I think when Jordan says cellos he means cels :) Snow White was scanned at 4k resolution if I'm not mistaken. Jordan I think you have a little mix up in how film/digital transfers work. The film is a done thing . At least for old films , so what most people call the "Master" is the origin...

Sorry, I realized I was being SO unclear and inacurate because I got mixed up in the vocabulary so I went to check lol :) When I meant is that, although they had a digital RESTORATION , Snow White, Sleeping Beauty and Pinnochio did not receive a digital TRANSFER on the DVDs. This is the reason why t...

Actually, I'm positive Snow White, Pinocchio, and Sleeping Beauty received digital restorations. If you watch the restoration featurettes for SW and SB, the process shown is clearly digital. All color correction and print flaw removal is done via computer scans of the original negatives, which is t...

I would like to add that, if I'm not mistaken: Snow White, Sleeping Beauty and Pinnochio (even on the exclusive edition released in Europe) DID NOT RECEIVE A DIGITAL RESTORATION but were only remastered from the films . The Jungle Book and 101 Dalmatians' first digital presentations will be on the u...
