Ocean's Twelve - I have to say that the bit where Julia Roberts plays Tess playing Julia Roberts is great. Especially when she goes ga-ga over Bruce Willis. This is definitely a personality-driven rather than a plot-driven movie (kind of like they used to do back in the olden days)

Mine is obviously Marvin the Martian . . . the coolest tennis-shoe wearin' Martian ever (though I'm glad he never accomplished his lifelong goal of blowing up the earth  )

I saw Season 1 of Alias. Great storyline and of course Jennifer Garner is worth watching in just about anything. I mean, she could sit there and read the phone book and I would watch it. :D

Album: Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness
Artist: Smashing Pumpkins

I bet those people who bought this album having only heard "Tonight, Tonight" and "1979" got a bit of a shock when they heard "Jellybelly". Definitely not MOR!!

New TV Show for Spike?

I found this on Rotten Tomatoes. Whedon, who began his career writing features "Speed" and "Toy Story," shuttered his TV operation this year to focus on features. He will continue to spend the majority of his time with bigscreen fare but acknowledged he has been toying with a TV ...

Favorite U2 Song/Album

I think that U2 is one of the greatest rock bands of all time, based on their longevity and classic recordings. Right now, my favorite U2 song is Pride (In the Name of Love) and my favorite album is The Joshua Tree . (If this is not where it's supposed to be, feel free to move it to where it is supp...

I have the Special Edition of Sleepless in Seattle. I do wish it had outtakes, because I'm sure there were some and they would be funny.

Sorry, I forgot to specify which version.

I saw the new versions of both Ocean's Eleven and The Italian Job.

Now I suppose I should watch the old versions now, just for the sake of comparison.

So, Yes to the Princess Bride upgrade and No to Sleepless in Seattle. I'm guessing that the quality of the movie in both editions is about the same.

Thanks for the info. :D

To upgrade or not to upgrade - that is the question

I own The Princess Bride and Sleepless in Seattle and have been debating on whether to upgrade to the Special Edition and the 10th Anniversary Edition, respectively. Are they really worth it?

I saw an episode of Bones on Tuesday. I don't know if I'm going to like it enough to watch it regularly. I'll give it 2 or 3 more chances.

In the past week I have seen:

Ocean's Eleven - good caper movie

The Italian Job - another good caper movie

Legends of the Fall - I liked it better the second time (which is odd for me)

I saw Toy Story:10th anniversary. Really looks great and what a terrific movie. I love that line, "I may not be a smart dog, but I know what roadkill is." One of the best lines in a Disney movie in my humble opinion.

So far this week, I have seen the Lord of the Rings Extended Editions of Fellowship of the Ring and The Two Towers. IMO, the best trilogy ever made. Great DVDs with great packaging and superb extras. Hopefully, in the next two days I can wrap it all up with Return of the King. :D
