Re: Hercules on Stage
A shame the Fates are written out. I think a (very brief) song by them was a good idea. Not so sad about Phil losing a song, I feel like "One Last Hope" is enough song for that character--maybe a reprise at the end when Hercules becomes a "true" hero or something. Who is Despina...

Re: The new Princesses being excluded from the lineup
I really just mentioned Alice and Lilo because their films are popular, and because Alice and Megara (and Esmeralda/Tinker Bell) had been used on merchandise in the '90s. I have stickers from that time saved in a box somewhere just because I know its sort of a rarity now. Aurora's style doesn't real...

Re: Rank the Revival's End Credit Songs
I didn't know that "Wind in My Hair" was what Menken had worked on for the film's End Credits! Interesting. TBH, the only song I've always wanted to hear the deleted or unfinished version of from that film was the big ballad they had intended as the love song. I've never been too fond of &...

Re: Funko POP! Disney
Apparently there are some new Sleeping Beauty pops coming. I do like Maleficent with candle since its one of her more fun moments in the film, but I have several Maleficent pops already (same with the dragon pop, I already have one of it that I like better, so pass). The Merryweather pop is cute tho...

Re: Favorite Disney Villain Song
"Poor Unfortunate Souls" is the easy winner for me. And its reprise is divine, too. :P I also really love "All Good Things Must End," "Hellfire," "Prince Ali (Reprise)," "Gaston," and "Snuff Out the Light" (a real shame that one had to hit ...

Re: Will Disney celebrate it's 105th Anniversary in 2028?
They'll probably celebrate it, but not on the same scale as with the 100th. 100 is a more special anniversary, but Disney still celebrates the lesser anniversaries, too, when they can.

Re: Which Disney movies (or scenes) make you cry?
Wow, indeed a good long list, Divinity ! :-o I agree those are really sad ones, Gurgis sacrifice is really under appreciated (and him as a character too), Pocahontas ending, Mulans ending are really touching too (and Pocahontas ending is probably one of my fav disney endings for its bittersweetness...

Re: Hercules on Stage
The whole idea of Hades using an army of dead rather than the Titans is alright considering the latter would be hard to portray. It's funny to me though, if the plots were going to be flipped, you'd almost think the musical would've had the Titans and the film the "army of the dead." Just ...

Re: Wish
I bought the Walmart steelbook this past Wednesday, very pretty cover. Watching the deleted scenes from when the movie was in process, I feel very conflicted. I like the original film, I like some of the ideas they didn't go with (Amaya and Magnifico as an evil couple, the cat sidekick)--I feel like...

Re: Bob Iger is Back!!!
:/ I really don't think its unlikely that people actually mean what they say. Its not that fans don't want a female protagonist, they just dont want little miss perfect who doesn't need to make any effort to learn what took Luke a lot of hard training. to accomplish in an instant. I agree. Sometime...

Re: The new Princesses being excluded from the lineup
I think Asha and Mirabel will be in the line at some point; the Madrigal family characters being marketed together will make it longer before it happens with Mirabel, but like with Elsa & Anna, most people know they're more or less part of the line. I think Asha's and Mirabel's outfit color choi...

Wow, I would've liked to see Benson's version of Gypsy. Hard for me to imagine her in the role, and I always think of Bette Midler as my go-to for that one, but it must've been impressive.

Re: Miscellaneous Film/TV Discussion
An actress from Glee (she played Brittany) showed up on So Help Me Todd this season as a love interest for Todd, probably the first time I've seen her in anything since that show ended. It's a shame she's likely not the endgame since the character has something going with another character already, ...

Re: Ducks - Pixar's First Ever Musical?
Well, they've also made a princess film before, so probably not a big deal. That said, if some kind of studio merger were going to happen (and I would imagine it would be PIXAR folded into WDAS), a musical film would be a good way to segue into that and/or to prepare those employees for more musical...

Re: Lilo & Stitch (Live-Action)
That was fast. I suppose though, many of Stitch's solo scenes (or the scenes only involving CGI characters) take up around a third of the movie or more, so the live-action portion would go faster.

Re: Pinocchio (Live-Action)
I actually liked both Pinocchio (2022 / Disney) and the Chip N Dale film--for what they are. Of course, the remake of this pales in comparison to Walt's masterpiece. Del Toro's film is far better than it, too, but I'd take the Walt animated film over that one as well.

Re: Sean Bailey Left Disney
In charge of the live-action division, right? Makes sense. Unfortunately, the new guy is going to get the blame for some of the movies coming out the next year or so underperforming even though he didn't greenlight them (like Snow White). But they might give him a pass for that. I feel like that may...

Re: The Little Mermaid Discussion
That picture of Ariel in the bubble (probably a WIP version for the real lithograph) is what I'd referred to in the past having seen in a Disney Adventure magazine. I think the real poster looked a great deal better, Ariel's face looked a bit dopey and Triton and the trident needed some work, althou...

Re: Once Upon a Time (ABC TV Series)
I'd be up for a revival if all the major actors came back. Unfortunately, I'd be surprised if Morrison would come back and she was a big part of what made the show what it was to me. I mean, I could survive if they couldn't get Goodwin back as Snow or even Carlyle as Rumpel, but Emma was the main ch...

Re: The Little Mermaid Discussion
I was watching some of the various workprints for some scenes in TLM earlier today. There was a couple of things in several versions of Ursula's defeat I hadn't seen before. One was the line Ursula makes to Triton at one point (that he used to be so handsome, he's gained weight--lol!). And some of t...
