Beats the heck out of some over-the-top style suit that only translates well in comic book pages. I love it!

Fantasia, back in the day, was practically slammed by critics for its unique format. It's amazing given it's reputation today and really helps to remind me that critics are just people with opinions - and opinions can change. I think that Bambi would've probably done much better given better circums...

Nowadays, most animated films are doing their own thing and not trying to copy off the success of another studio. Really? The fact that animated movies are going on original screenplays hardly suggests that the studios are doing their own thing. Heck, most movies just feel like a copy-paste movie o...

Just saw X-Men: First Class - This film is not without flaws but its James Bond-esque story and the fact that this movie went back, in theming and idea exploration, to the greatness of movies 1+2 really makes up for any shortcomings. It's right up there with the first two, and a fine addition to the...

Sorry to butt in with an on-topic statement to this off-topic debate, but boy did that trailer send chills down my spine. Critics have heralded Pixar for years for being adult but I always felt they had this need to hide their maturity behind silly jokes (ala Incredibles, Ratatouille). It seems this...

Wow, talk about oversimplifying a story.

I'm pretty sure the theme parks, especially the home-based ones, bring in some of the biggest profits for the company. I just don't see this happening. Heck, the whole reason we even have a HKDL is because Disney wanted to capatilise a bit on what the OLC enjoyed all these years with TDL.

Cars 2 - I came in with extra-low expectations. As if the first wasn't a bland fest of a movie, the bad reviews didn't help matters. That being said, I had a BLAST. I enjoyed the flashiness of it, the espionagesque storyline really worked well for this universe, and the movie got quite a few laughs...

I guess since Disney movies no longer seemed profitable it made sense to cut back on the sequels for those movies. Using that same logic, obviously since Pixar movies make money spinoffs and supposedly-mediocre sequels are called for. Planes makes complete sense...

I think they should make the name short and to the point. I propose the following, to shorten the title: Wreck- The movie.
The tagline can be: We can guarantee disaster!

Maybe DVD sales would stop falling if they'd bother to create better movies. I love Disney but honestly, it's the only studio out of all the big ones that manages to create almost entirely forgettable movies year round and only turn out one or two hits every few years. The only real franchise Disney...

You only remember Ford's performance?! Sean Connery and Denholm Elliott were brilliant. And although a few cast members were merely servicing his antics, that's what supporting characters often are (the clue is in the name 'supporting.') For you I truly believe they were. For me they were bland cha...

Have you two been watching the same POTC and Indiana Jones movies as me? Yes. POTC is NOTHING like Indiana Jones. POTC is filled with extremely weak leads (the irritatingly unrestrained Depp, the wooden Orlando Bloom, the bland Keira Knightely, etc.), whilst all the Indiana Jones movies have great ...
