A Blu-Ray release wouldn't serve much purpose; I doubt any of those shows were animated in HD resolutions, or in a format that allows transferring to HD resolution as the traditionally-animated Disney features were. The way the shows were animated or filmed is not what would cause the problems. The...

At least most of the album is original score; and even a few of the songs are specifically original to the film. It always irks me when they release a "music inspired by such-and-such" albums with nothing but pop songs that have nothing to do with the film. And thankfully it's not download...

I suppose, with a Standard-def Blu-Ray release, they could fit more episodes onto a single disc without squeezing the bitrate, have more space for bonus features, and feature more modern pop-up menus... but a Blu-Ray release would also cut their potential customers down considering how Blu-Ray playe...

I have no idea if this is true (though I hope it is), but I have noticed in the past few weeks that the existing Disney Afternoon releases of Darkwing, Chip 'N Dale, Ducktales, etc. have really made a comeback on store shelves. I've been to four different Future Shop locations in and around Toronto ...

Oh, lol. I thought I'd mentioned it. Last year's Fright Night remake; it has Disney-like packaging, but I guess it's Touchstone rather than directly from Disney.

Then, what evidence is there God doesn't exist? No more than there is that God does exist. Which is to say, none on both counts, lol. But the burden of proof is usually on the one making the claim that something which has never been observed does, indeed, exist. I've never been inclined to ask for ...

I've been on the lookout for some native 3-D live action Blu-Ray titles to add to my collection (as it's primarily animation), and this one showed up on a few recommended lists. Opinions on the film itself varied a bit too wildly to be believed, but everyone seemed to agree the 3-D was technically w...

If any of this was in English for the lay-man, then it might have been informative. All I read is a lot of gobbly-gook that makes no sense to me. I personally think you don't know what the heck you are saying and you are probably one of these 'brain-iacs" that thnks they can conquer the world ...

As far as the topic of this thread goes, I own LCD TVs (2 of them, to be precise), but prefer neither. But for the moment, merely as a stop-gap, I find LCD to be the easier compromise to live with. It's more energy efficient, cooler, and less finicky than its plasmatic rival. The picture quality is ...

Most of these steelbooks seem to sell out incredibly quickly. The online pre-orders typically only last for a few minutes, at best. WALL-E went up for sale at 6pm EST today with a set quantity of around 150-60, and it sold out within 5 minutes. Fortunately, I was able to get my order in before that ...

Back to the "jerk" Pinocchio, I like that the movie did not portray him like that. It's more logical, the way the film portrayed him as innocent. After all, bad people aren't born bad. They learn to be bad, just as good people learn to be good. Well, there was no need to make Pinocchio a j...

Probably the 2048x1536 resolution my monitor was running at... I haven't used a computer that used resolutions as low as that of DVD since my 486 days :P.

I just picked this up on Blu-Ray yesterday evening, and I'm pretty impressed with the presentation overall. I'd never have believed this film is so old, given the restoration job. I don't think I've seen this one since I was 7 or 8, so pretty much everything is new to me; which is always fun. In rea...

Here's another WALL-E video I made. It's a mashup of the audio from the IMAX Watchmen teaser with WALL-E footage.

I really didn't want to start a new post for this, but I really wanted to share some news about YouTube that is making me see RED with anger. Warner Bros. I SAY since Blu-ray is the "LUXURY" item and Disney is trying to KILL DVD then they should ONLY release the 1-disc barebones version of the DVD and The BLU-ray as the 2-disc version with ALL the special features. The DVDs will stay the same price ~$15 and the Blu-ray would be ~$20. THAT i...

For what it was supposed to be, Iron Man succeeded brilliantly. It was certainly one of the more enjoyable superhero movies I'd ever seen.

I think it's ridiculous, and I don't blame their mother for not liking it. They're children, and have a right not to be out in the spotlight like that; especially for the sake of some greedy company making a few extra dollars.

It's shameless, and contemptible on the part of the company.

Blu-Ray would be kind of wasted on a 720p (actually 1366x768, which never really made sense to me) TV. At 32", though, there wouldn't be a lot of point in full 1080 resolution, anyway. Ideally, you'd want something from 40"-46" with true 1080p resolution. Good quality TVs at that size...
