Re: Disney Animation on Blu-ray in 2016

So did Disney stop telling us what's vaulted and when? Because judging by what I'm seeing online it looks like Mermaid, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, and Jungle Book are OOP.

List of Disney 3D Blu-Ray Imports that work elsewhere?

Does anyone have a list of the 100% confirmed as region free 3D Blu-Rays that Disney put out elsewhere? I got a 3D projector for Christmas and there are many movies that were not released in 3D in North America that I would like. I just don't want pay for the import then find out that I will not wor...

Re: Big Hero 6

I just came back from a sketch comedy show which featured special guests John Lutz (SNL and Late Night writter who played a writter on 30 Rock) and Scott Adsit (who was also on 30 Rock). They both signed my season One DVD but Scott also signed my shirt... This shirt. http://www.hottopic.com/product/...

Re: What trailers played before the last movie you saw?

Saturday night I went to a marathon of all of the Indinia Jones movies so I saw lots and lots of trailers although all of them were for modern releases rather than any more re-releases or special events. Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice Point Break Fantastic Four Ant-Man In The Heart of The Sea Am...

Disney Channel Canada coming (without Family backing)

To all our Canadian readers, Disney channel programming has always aired in one place, Family Channel which even started a Disney XD and Disney Jr. here in the last few years too. Well, that is all over as Disney Channel Canada will begin Sept. 1 of this year with Chorus Media behind it all. Chorus ...

Re: ABC getting new Muppets series

I'm not crazy about the talent attached to write this, but I'll always check out anything Muppet-related. Let's hope this works! Well at least prior to being involved with Chuck Lorre, Bill Prady worked with and for Henson for years in the 80's and early 90's ending around the time of Muppet*Vision...

Re: Halloween Viewing Log 2014!

Forgot one! I also saw an encore screening of the National Theatre Live’s filming of Danny Boyle's Frankenstein starring Benedict Cumberbatch and Jonny Lee Miller! They double cast the show so the version that I saw was with Cumberbatch as the creature and Miller as the doctor. It was really wonderf...

Re: New Blu-ray/DVD Thread XVIII - Spending, We Wrote

I last posted in this thread in April. Since then I've got a few new titles but way less than in many years. Still I may have forgotten one or two so excuse me if I have to add one later on. What I know I got, however, are... DVD Only Steven Spielberg Presents Tiny Toon Adventures: Season 1 Volume T...

Re: Death of the Disney Afternoon DVDs?

I wonder if that omnibus will have the DuckTales crossover in it, just parts as in DW issue form or not at all. -Skyler No, the new omnibus will be everything else DW from the original BOOM! run. I got this from the source, but Disney didn't like the DW/DT crossover, so it may never get a re-print ...

Re: Halloween Viewing Log 2014!

Stop. Junkie, just stop. Murder thrillers can be considered Halloween-y if they want them to. I know I personally think that murder can indeed be frightening. As for the part about 'not being an attack' it surely reads like one or at least as an insult by you saying that he 'doesn't respect the thre...

Re: Halloween Viewing Log 2014!

I've never seen the Underworld films. I know there's quite a few and they mostly are well liked but that's about it. Should I give them a watch? Side note: At the start of the month I met and took a selfie with Bill Nighy. Lovely man. Very nice, very gracious. As for my Halloween watching I have bee...

Re: Halloween Viewing Log 2014!

I often start my Halloween viewing around the 1st but have only watched one thing so far this year... The world premiere of Kevin Smith's Tusk . It's a straaaaaange little picture but needs to be seen to be believed. It's funny, gross, creepy and way over the top but super fun. Before the film we we...

Wasn't the season six discussion basically just you doing recaps? While it may change I didn't really think there was reason for a whole new thread for this when the other could have just been retitled.

Just Boxtrolls now from that list but I plan on doing some catch up on some others and some pre-realease fun at TIFF. I've already seen Tusk now which is bonkers in the best way.
