Re: Beauty and the Beast Live-Action Discussion
I've seen it twice and really enjoyed it. It wasn't perfect but I thought it stayed true to the animated film and I can't argue with that. I'd say Emma Watson was the worst thing in it. Her singing wasn't great and she never reached great emotional heights - especially the death/transformation scene...

Re: Disney Infinity Canceled; Disney Exits Console Publishin
I'm praying Disney is going to licence out characters to Lego Dimensions. It would make my year and I'd spend all my money. I'm hoping that's not a totally ridiculous possibility considering Lego still make Disney games.

Re: Moana
I know I'm super late to the party but I saw the trailer a few days ago.
It's probably been mentioned. Why did they have to give Moana Rapunzel's face? They look like twins.
Either way it's the first trailer in a while that hasn't completely turnt me off.

Re: The Good Dinosaur--11/25/15
I brought in on bluray having never seen it in the cinema. I'm now gonna sell the bluray as I don't see me wanting to rewatch it in the future. Glad I saw it but it really didn't leave an impression on me. Beautiful to look at but I did find it aimed at younger children with little to appeal to adul...

Re: Zootopia
Taken a long hiatus due to other interests/ busy life stuff. I saw this on honeymoon last week. Went in with very very low expectations. Did not fancy it all.
Well done Disney. It was really good and you reign at making animated foxes sexy. It took me a while to get into but it was excellent.

Re: Aladdin - Diamond Edition
Is it worth upgrading? I own the UK Bluray but Aladdin is my absolute favourite. Does it have bookmarks? The UK one doesn't and it drives me nuts if I have to stop the film halfway through.
It looks like a bit more effort has been put into this release than Sleeping Beauty.

Re: Hand-Drawn Animation Dead at Disney
Yeah well, maybe it isn't just me that's the problem here but also all of YOU . The way I see it, Disney isn't what it should be anymore because CGI CORRUPTED THEM , just as it's corrupted our culture and every member on this forum who dare believes that the stuff coming out of Disney today is good...

Re: Disney Princesses Got a Makeover
Yikes Jasmine and Aurora look horrible. Ariel looks a little scary. Her eyes are all blue. And lol at Pocahontas not changing her facial expression at all. Poor Pocahontas hasn't got new clipart since the 90's. They just slapped some ugly window dressing on her. Edit: sorry double post...

Re: The Prophet (Animated Film)
Ugh, I hate that animation style. My opinion but yeah, doesn't appeal to me. I quite like cell shading for video games like Borderlands but not traditional animation. I like animation to look cleaner. I also really dislike that poster Sotiris posted. The girl looks like something straight out of a D...

Re: Favorite core Disney characters?
I went for the main three because I'm boring and likely lack imagination. Mickey, Goofy and Donald. Too much Kingdom Hearts. I love the Goofy Shorts the most. I watch that DVD far more than I should. The How to shorts are my absolute favourite. A lot of Goofy Shorts used to be complied into one long...

Re: Favorite Character and Performance: Verna Felton
I love Flora. I loved Sleeping Beauty as a kid and the three fairies hold a special place for me.
She's just got such a kind motherly voice so I definitely prefer her nicer roles.

Re: Would animation have been better if Toy Story didn't exi
I said this in another thread but I think Shrek was more responsible for the state the animation industry is in today than Toy Story. Shrek not only made everyone associate CGI with being hip and cool it ruined storytelling in animated films for the following decades. Instead of movies being genuin...

Re: List of BEST option for Disney DVD/Bluray?
I think some you need to consider buying the DVD and BD to compliment eachother and fill in gaps. If you can get them cheap anyhow. Some can't afford nor want two/three versions of the same film. Go for the platinum editions anyhow - they really are great and if you want the BD versions, consider ge...

Re: Disney Voice Actors At Work
My fav is https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pi_Ocd9IALc Brad Kane and Lea Salonga recording A Whole New World. Seeing the actors record is always my favourite part of any documentary or making of on the DVDs/BDs and they never show enough. It's always the smallest bit of footage and I want more darn it!

Re: Pete Docter's "Inside Out" (June 19, 2015)
I finally found the time to go to the cinema and see 'Inside out'. I was quite hesitant to see it but I loved it and thought it was a strong film. Made me cry quite a few times, especially when Riley's imaginary friend sacrificed himself to save Joy. Riley returning home was very bittersweet. It was...

This is the movie that begun my sister's long love affair with Goofy which included an imaginary marriage and 13 imaginary children.
I haven't seen this film in forever. I do remember it making me teary in places. Goofy is too lovable.

Re: Pixar's Coco
I don't know much but I am excited from what little I have heard. I do hope it has that corpse bride feeling. There is no reason macabre can't be fun and colourful. I'm shocked it's a musical. I love musicals and I don't see why Pixar can't churn out a good musical. I'm skeptical as to if it will st...
