Re: Frozen: Part V
I'm not sure if it's been posted here before, but the "Let it Go" youtube video has almost 6 million views, which to me seems really impressive. It's only been up for a week. (almost a million a day). http://i.imgur.com/Bt6OFXF.png Also considering the facebook page only has 700k likes. ht...

Re: The Three CommentEARS Episode 11: Tangled
Listened to Tangled Commentary, and it's great, as usual. Because I love this movie so much I jotted down some notes, like I was having a little conversation with you. :) - I also noticed Flynn is great "none-disney" character, noted by his wondering why everyone is singing, and his ‘shrek...

Sorry if this was already posted, another rave review, from Forbes:

I read through the whole thing, it's actually a really, really good review.

With Frozen, Disney has made good on the promise to “keep moving forward”.

Re: Indiana Jones the animated show
If they would rebrand the Disney XD Channel into a Disney Adventure Channel then feature SW Rebels, an animated Indiana Jones series, a live action Pirates series, bring back Tron Uprising and maybe even show some of the classic Disney adventure series, I would be quite happy. That does sound good....

Re: Discussion CGI Classics
Ha, the activity in this thread versus the classics thread you posted, should go in the " Hand-Drawn Animation Dead at Disney? ". :-) It does seem the two most recent CGI movies are on another level of quality than the others. Tangled - awesome, loved the nostalgia, the story, animation an...

Re: Frozen: Part IV
Yeah, it's incredibly silly to me. So good question.... Well, I'm not a fan of this policy either but it's been enforced because it's believed that smaller threads help users navigate easier through them. So, for example, instead of a huge Tangled thread with 529 pages, we get 7 smaller ones. Same ...

Re: Tangled (& Tangled Ever After) Discussion: Part VII
You guys are in for a treat. I found a never-before-heard demo of Alan Menken singing an early version of "When Will My Life Begin" called "What More Could I Ever Need". This demo was part of a three-hour interview Menken recently gave to WPKN radio. Menken had sung this version...

Re: The Three CommentEARS: Audio Commentaries for Disney Fil
Finished MtR. Great!!! Loved the connection with "Keep moving forward", talking to the audience, and in a sense Disney telling itself to keep moving forward, had some failures (chicken little, treasure planet), but keep moving forward, keep making movies, possibly failures, but keep moving...

Re: Mother Gothel...loved Rapunzel? Discussion.
That's one thing I really enjoy in this movie, is the relationship between Gothel and Rapunzel. A mother and daughter relationship is very complex even in a 'normal' one. :) Whether or not Gothel loved Rapunzel is complicated I think, there's multiple definitions of love, it's pretty complex. On one...

Re: Disney rarities and obscurities on YouTube
From Pencils to Pixels (BBC's Imagine), 2003 I actually remember watching this back when it was shown ten years ago (I caught it purely by coincidence, I might add). It traces animation history in general, but devotes a great deal of time to Disney, as well as Pixar and Miyazaki. [youtube]http://ww...

Re: Toy Story of Terror! (TV Special)
Awesome, can't wait! I wonder, if it's a TV special does that mean they won't have the original voice actors? It seem the pre-movie shorts (<10 minutes) are original voice actors, but the TV specials (30 minutes or more) are sound-alikes. I would kind of hate to see these very strong characters be r...

Re: The Three CommentEARS: Audio Commentaries for Disney Fil
Hey, just stumbled up on this audio commentary website http://www.zarban.com/. I haven't looked too much into it, but seems to be a catalogue of fan made commentaries - a subject I find interesting. You may want to consider submitting your commentaries there. I did listen to this Tangled commentary ...

Re: Mediocre Article About the Disney Princesses
Interesting. Thanks for sharing. As a parent I can definitely relate to how things change, and how watching the same movie I may have seen a million times will be completely different when I watch it with my kids also watching. All of a sudden I'm responsible. :) The post does seem to really over em...

Re: Frozen: Part III
Arendelle? I kind of like that name. I don't think the kingdom in Tangled had a name, did it? I agree, I like Arendelle. Tangled's kingdom is unofficially Corona. From what I understand, that's what the filmmakers referred to it as during production, but I guess they weren't allowed to use it in th...

Re: "Tangled" directors reuniting for new movie
Same here. I liked Bolt, but I loved Tangled. I will be very interested to see what they come up with. Also, interested to see how they might do solo, instead of as a duo.Sotiris wrote:I can't say that an "animal comedy" gets me excited. I usually prefer animated films that are human-centred.
