BURBANK, Calif., December 21, 2005 – Disney presents LITTLE HOUSE ON THE PRAIRIE, the complete mini-series, available for the first time on (2-disc) DVD March 28.
From Our House to Your House
Based on the beloved, classic books by Laura Ingalls Wilder, this epic production celebrates the magnificent and heartwarming story of a pioneer family’s brave travels into the untamed American heartland. The perfect Easter gift for parents and their children, this six-hour mini-series brings to life all the joys, perils and triumphs of Wilder’s books.

Filmed in a pristine region of Canada, LITTLE HOUSE ON THE PRAIRIE marks a return to Wilder’s autobiographical books, while capturing the vast scope and magnitude of the frontier. Cameron Bancroft is Charles Ingalls, Erin Cottrell (TV’s “All My Children,” “Legally Blonde 2: Red, White and Blue”) is Caroline Ingalls, Kyle Chavarria is Laura Ingalls, Danielle Ryan Chuchran (“The Cat In The Hat”) is Mary Ingalls, and Barbara Kozicki is Aunt Docie. The series also guest-stars Gregory Sporleder (“Black Hawk Down”) as Mr. Edwards, Byron Chief-Moon (“Scary Movie 3”) as Soldat du Chene, James Cosmo (“Troy”) as Mr. Scott, Gina Stockdale as Mrs. Scott, and Dorian Harewood (“Gothika”) as Dr. Tan.

Screenplay by Katie Ford, based on the books by Laura Ingalls Wilder. Directed by David L. Cunningham. Available on 2-disc DVD for $29.99 (S.R.P.) from Buena Vista Home Entertainment.

Originally published in 1935, Little House On The Prairie was the third in a series of books by Laura Ingalls Wilder about her childhood years. The Little House books have been published in more than 21 languages and have become literary favorites.
