Blast to the Past #2:
Disney's Dream

Disney's Dream is the second book in the "Blast to the Past" series by Stacia Deutsch and Rhody Cohon. In this imaginative tale, four 3rd grade students, with the aid of their social studies teacher's computer, travel back to 1928 New York. There, they meet Walt Disney and must convince him not to give up on his dream of making Steamboat Willie the first cartoon with sound.

Well it sounds like an interesting book kind of one of those biopics they do and on a pivotal point in time in the Disney and Cinema story for us filmlovers Smile With children reading some of the behind the scenes "realistic" true life story they might get hooked on the magic of creating animation from a diferent angle than a video talking heads supplement Wink.

Kind of a starters book for completeness in a Disney library collection next to those Art of Disney and indepth biographies maybe?

Wink

thanks for bringing it into our attention Luke

I was surprised when I saw this on the front page!
a book?! Surprised Very neat, very neat.

But you know what it reminded me of when I saw the cover?
The Magic School Bus and its adventures. Embarassed

Mkay, so who's gonna start with the Disney library book collection! Cool
Should fit along well with a Disney DVD collection (*cough*MickeyMousePal*cough*)!

Awesome review, Luke! UD + book review = Thumb's Up! It's good to see that you're as apt at reviewing literature as you are at film, television, and technology!

This book looks like a whole lot of fun... just the sort of thing I would have read and loved when I was younger (and will probably read and enjoy at my current age too Razz).
