From The Studio That Brought Audiences
“The Princess Diaries 2” and “Freaky Friday”

Walt Disney Pictures Presents
ICE PRINCESS

Skating Onto Disney DVD July 19!

BURBANK, Calif., April 20, 2005 – From the Studio that brought audiences “The Princess Diaries 2
and “Freaky Friday,” Walt Disney Home Entertainment presents ICE PRINCESS, available on DVD
and VHS July 19. The radiant Michelle Trachtenberg (TV’s “Buffy The Vampire Slayer;” “Eurotrip,”
Inspector Gadget”) stars as a brainy high-school student who discovers a passion for ice-skating, and
uses her smarts and follows her heart to make her dreams come true.

ICE PRINCESS will be available in both fullscreen and widescreen DVD versions. Bonus DVD
materials for ICE PRINCESS include a cool alternate opening, deleted scenes, hot music videos “Reach”
by Caleigh Peters and “No One” by Aly & A.J. and exclusive audio commentary.

The perfect comedy for the whole family to enjoy, ICE PRINCESS boasts a sparkling cast that includes
Joan Cusack (“Raising Helen,” “School of Rock”), Kim Cattrall (TV’s “Sex and the City,”) Hayden
Panettiere (“Raising Helen,” “Racing Stripes”), and Trevor Blumas (TV’s “Jane Doe”). ICE
PRINCESS
also features many real-life skating champions, including celebrated world champion
Michelle Kwan, who appears alongside Olympian Brian Boitano as a skating commentator.
Story by Meg Cabot and Hadley Davis. Screenplay by Hadley Davis. Directed by Tim Fywell.

Brainy, awkward high-school student Casey Carlyle (Michelle Trachtenberg) has never quite fit in. Casey
is caught between her fantasy of becoming a championship figure skater and her strong-willed mother
(Joan Cusack), who has her on the fast track to Harvard. She can only watch as Gen (Hayden Panettiere),
Nikki (Kirsten Olson) and Tiffany (Jocelyn Lai), three elite skating prodigies, ruthlessly compete on the
U.S. Figure Skating circuit. Casey, a science whiz, studies the physics of skating, but when she gets the
chance to train with the skating team’s coach (Kim Cattrall), a disgraced former skating champion who
also happens to be Gen’s mom, she learns that she may have real skating ability if she trains hard.

In order to pursue her dream, she must defy the strict expectations her mother has set for her. Now, with
only the support of Gen’s hunky, Zamboni-driving teenage brother (Trevor Blumas), Casey takes on the
challenge of her life when she finds herself competing against the best to make it into the championship
circuit and become a real “ice princess.”

ICE PRINCESS features a cool soundtrack with songs from Caleigh Peters, Aly & A.J., Jewel, Michelle
Branch, Tina Sugandh, Raven-Symoné, Jesse McCartney, Madonna and more.

Has anyone here seen this movie? I've been thinking about watching it when it comes out on DVD, but I don't like children's movies that much (except for the animated classics including Pixar movies).

I personally think he was right in:
The Aviator
Series of Unfortunate Events

But I haven't seen any of the others.

It's a lot differen't from what the trailer and everything make it out to be. I think little kids would be bored in this one to be honest. I'd rent it if I were you.

Yeah, it does. Of course, I saw the preview on the Pacifier DVD. That was a big clue that it probably isn't good. I'll just buy it on Direct TV. $4 is all I'd waste on it.

I was thinking about buying this one, but after reading the review, I'll probably just rent it for now.

i saw this in theaters and although iwas sick and people were throwing pop corn and ice cubes at me, i liked it. I thought it gave a good messege in going for what you want and not what everyone else wants you to do. but its just my opinion

I just went into Toys R Us last week and was looking at the movies and there it was for sale. I guess they put them out early by mistake.
