Thanks for posting, but I'm not reading that humungously-lengthy rant. I can understand the writer's feelings, but seriously - isn't it a slight waste of time to write THAT much about a 7-year-old movie that nobody could've really expected would be quality in the first place? Not trying to sound like a smartass here, but he writes about it like he was expecting something great, was hugely dissapointed, and goes on to nit pick everything in it.

I almost forgot...for people who might have a hard time reading my whole
paper, I wrote a brief summary of what THE ENCHANTED CHRISTMAS is
really about: http://imdb.com/title/tt0118692/board/thread/11722157

The only way I'll get over it is if every single copy of THE ENCHANTED CHRISTMAS is recalled and incinerated one by one.ichabod wrote:Newsflash! It's a children's film! Get Over it!"THE ENCHANTED CHRISTMAS

For all our sakes, don't watch Belle's Magical World!
Most of my Blu-ray collection some of my UK discs aren't on their database

Actually I was thinking of what Christmas movies I could watch and I'd completely forgot about this movie. Thanks for reminding me about it, I think I'm going to watch it now! My copy is definitely one that ain't gonna get recalled!Skullfarmer wrote:The only way I'll get over it is if every single copy of THE ENCHANTED CHRISTMAS is recalled and incinerated one by one.

But don't you see it for what it is? Can't you see how phony it is?ichabod wrote:Actually I was thinking of what Christmas movies I could watch and I'd completely forgot about this movie. Yes I see it for what it is! A children's movie! I agree it is a poorly animated movie with a story that holds about as much water as one of Angela Lansbury's wigs, but come on! All this ranting about gay paedophiles is just dumb!Skullfarmer wrote:But don't you see it for what it is? Can't you see how phony it is?

Um...was there a point as to why you decided to take a film you loathe, write a lengthy paper on it, post it at imdb, advertise it here, and dismiss anyone's defenses for it with "whatever"?
It's not Masterpiece Theater, it's not Shakespeare, it's not Dickens. It's a half-assed attempt at cashing in on the Beauty and the Beast popularity by combining it with the joys of Christmas. Enjoy it for what it is, a lighthearted Christmas movie with nice songs (I love "Stories"); it does NOT need to be dissected to a point where you label fictional and ridiculous characters like Forte with antiquated labels by a man whose theories today are often discredited themselves. Sometimes I have instances/behavior that can be labeled as depression, but I'm not depressed. I'm a sensitive guy who enjoys soap operas and romantic films (I refuse to call them the sexist "chick flicks" as anyone can enjoy them), does that make me gay? What about this: I'm Asian, but my skin is neither white or yellow...so would that not make me human or Asian because of old stereotypes that they're yellow or extremely pale? Or how about: I am a Roman Catholic, so does that mean I hate homosexuals and know that they will all burn in hell? NO.
Come on, really, what's next? A closer look and examination at the innuendo in Toy Story with names like "Woody" and lines like "laser envy"? You gonna attack The Little Mermaid next for the fact that they portrayed a female as nothing but a shallow teenage girl who sees a guy, and suddenly is willing to change species to be with him and she hasn't even met him yet?
