Actually, Disney releases this material for the press. That's where Luke and Jens get this material from (I guess). Very Happy

The material Disney sites get is not avialable to anyone else except us. So you won't be able to get it yourself Uncle Remus, it will either Be brought to you by The Disney Database or Ultimate Disney Smile

Intreasting "The Betrothal" is the scene that is the most appleaing to me and I am really wondering how it ties into the movie or how it did at some point before it became a deleted scene.

Big shocker here......well for me anyways, so WOOHOO Wink
The Mulan 2-disc SE DVD for R3 (MAS/BRU) was released 3 weeks ago at the usual price of RM71.90 (or USD$18.80). Purchases at the usual chain stores come with a 10% discount. Nearly all the features listed on these forums are there plus a few additional extras which I guess could only be available on R3 discs or are yet to be announced in other region versions.

From what I could see (heh heh...I have yet to purchase it Razz ) a few extras include:
[1] New full length music video in Chinese sung by Jackie Chan
[2] Music video for "Reflection" sung by Coco Lee in Mandarin
[3] Dubbing in chinese includes the spoken and sung voices of Jackie Chan and a few other Asian celebs (similar to the over-the-air broadcasts shown on Disney Channel Asia)
[4] Disc 1 features 4 audio tracks in English, Mandarin, Cantonese and Thai (all Dolby Digital 5.1) and what looks like a commentary track?? (Have to confirm this later) Subtitles in English, Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Thai and Bahasa Indonesia.
[5] Disc 2 either features language dubs or subtitles for included features (once again...will have to confirm once I buy it Very Happy )
[6] Cover is similar to the one on Amazon but with the words "2-Disc Special Edition" on the top bar instead of just "2-disc set"

So....its pretty similar to the HK release except the cover is in English. Menus are in English to as far as I can tell.
Will update ASAP.....need to get my hands on some $$ NOW!! Smile

Well, the Jackie Chan music video is supposed to be on the R1 release, but I'm doubting that the R1 release will see the Coco Lee "Reflection" video. It's a shame, really, because I much prefer her version over "Xtina's." Maybe I'll have to buy the R3 release, too.

Does anyone know anything about this?

http://animated-features.tripod.com/features/mulan/movie.htm wrote:
80% complete work print was screened for the MPAA, and was given a premilinary rating of PG. Eisner was reportedly in love with the film, and refused to cut it, although Roy Disney thought it a travesty that a Disney flick couldn't be G. Barry and Tony, the directors, weren't too happy with having to cut it either. Finally, the film got a G rating.

(It's also mentioned here, too: http://animationarchive.net/Feature%20Films/Mulan/Notes/)

I got excited that someone answered my question...but no. Sad I spent HOURS yesterday trying to find information and couldn't. I'm going to watch the deleted scenes on the DVD today...I'm guessing that Hun violence would be the thing to bring the movie to PG, but my bigger question is, was what was cut part of the 20% unfinished work at the screening...it's bothering me big-time for some reason!
