The Three Caballeros: 1944 or 1945

Post by Big Disney Fan »

It's very confusing to me as to when "The Three Caballeros" came out. In the past, many sources credited "1945", the year it debuted in the U.S., but now most sources not only credit "1944", but also seem adamantly insistent on it. Only Disney Plus still uses "1945". To be fair, December of 1944 was when it had its world premiere in Mexico City, but it would not be released in the U.S. until the following February. So what's going on here?

It's the same with Saludos Amigos, it had its premiere in 1942, but most people say the release year is 1943. And Fantasia 2000 had its premiere in 1999,but most people say it was released in 2000.

I guess it's whatever you want it to be? If you care more about a special event premiere or a wide release?

For me it's :
Saludos Amigos - 1943
Three Caballeros - 1945
Fantasia 2000 - 2000

However, I'd rather forget any of these exist.
