If you want to merge this with any of the Song Of The South threads, that's fine. Now without further ado, Jim Korkis has written a new book, "Who's Afraid Of Song Of The South":

I'll make one small correction in that article and state that many Disney features have not been released to DVD. Unless their implying animated features only, which SotS isn't.

Edit: Now having read the sample of the book from Amazon it looks like a great read. Very interesting information on the formation of the movie's screenplay in particular.

after reading about Disney stonewalling Ward Kimball's biography, i'm a little skeptical since they're allowing this.

Disney isn't "allowing" this - it doesn't include any Disney copyrighted images, so it doesn't have to be approved by them. The Ward Kimball book, however, is full to the brim with images. This Song of the South book is in no way officially affiliated with Disney.

Thanks for posting this in the forum, as I was unaware of this new book.

I enjoy listening to Jim Korkis when he is a guest of Lou Mongello's WDW Radio podcast, and I have his first book. So, yes, I'll be purchasing this new release, too.
