Re: Disney Princesses Got a Makeover
Dear lord, please please PLEASE tell me Ariel is still meeting at her grotto in WDW.
Re: Disney Princesses Got a Makeover
To me Ariel´s pink dress as well as this one:
(my favorite)
are just perfect for her.
More so, she did have the one Triton made for her when he gave her legs.
So, I´d like to know why Ariel needs a new (hideous) dress when she was one the few blessed princesses to actually have more than one?
At least she got rid of the starfish. One thing that I´m wondering: Does Ariel wear just this dead starfish or uses one different every single day that slowly and painfully dies while on her hair?

Re: Disney Princesses Got a Makeover
I think her dress looks pretty.
Re: Disney Princesses Got a Makeover
I like her new dress; it is an improvement on what she had before, which didn't really seem to be based on anything.
DC Fan, she actually wore her blue 'Kiss the Girl' dress in DisneyLand Paris when it first opened. I think the link you gave is wrong ? It links to a photo of Patrick Dempsey.

Good to know!
Sorry for the link. I was trying to show the purple sparkling one Triton made for her at the end of the movie; already fixed.

Cinderella has finally changed over in Disneyland Paris to her new look ....

I know some people hate it, but I actually quite like it / don't mind it now! I don't know if Belle has been changed yet though ?

Now, that's a bit too harsh, innit? funny, but harshMooky wrote:Just stumbled upon this -- Aurora's reaction to her new design:

Snow White's costume got redesign and it was ......PERFECT! No side bow is included. YAY!
Re: Disney Princesses Got a Makeover
Snow white doesn't show any leg. She has stockings on. Have the princesses at the parks always wore stockings? In the movies their bare legs were seen when ever they moved ,picked up their dresses , or danced.

They got the puffy sleeves right this timeTsWade2 wrote:Snow White's costume got redesign and it was ......PERFECT! No side bow is included. YAY!

Really love Snow's new outfit, prefer it to the original.
And yes, on those pictures above, wonderful to see the Princesses not splattered with glitter for once !
Which is kind of funny as I think the only Princess who even remotely touched glitter was Cinderella, when she got transformed? All the others have quite 'plain' dresses for most of their movies. Yet in all the Princess things, they are slapped to the nines with bloody glitter.

Re: Disney Princesses Got a Makeover
Something that I don't understand: Why can't Disney...official Disney merchandise, mind you...get eye colors right on their merchandise? I've seen Snow White with blue eyes (not so much on dolls, but maybe notebooks, etc.), Aurora with blue eyes, Rapunzel with blue eyes. I don't get how something so simple can get messed up!

Re: Disney Princesses Got a Makeover
Here is a full line up of color accurate princesses. They're too big to post directly so I'll link to them.

After:

It's quite shocking how much paler the princesses are compared to their movie presence. Especially Pocahontas, Jasmine, and Tiana...

I'm disappointed, but not surprised.
I actually really like that new colorization though. The "official" Disney one makes the characters look like cheap plastic.
Tiana, Jasmine and Belle look like they came straight out of the movie.

Re: Disney Princesses Got a Makeover
Cinderella's dress in the original film is glittered, or perhaps tiny-jeweled. Whatever it is, it's sparkly, so her sparkles in merchandise is right.
Re: Disney Princesses Got a Makeover
Exactly, like I said, she is the only one with justification for it! Maybe even Tiana … she has swap sparkle doesn't she ?Disney Duster wrote:Cinderella's dress in the original film is glittered, or perhaps tiny-jeweled. Whatever it is, it's sparkly, so her sparkles in merchandise is right.

Re: Disney Princesses Got a Makeover
Really interesting to see the comparisons. The colors in the film are so much richer.
I mean, I've never really minded the clipart to a huge degree, since I know they're just stickers, etc., but I never understood why they change the colors either. I mean, these films became popular with the colors in the movies, so why wouldn't buyers and/or children still like them that way on the merchandise?

Really? It makes me think of McDonald's.Atlantica wrote:Really love Snow's new outfit, prefer it to the original.
Listening to most often lately:
Ariana Grande ~ "we can't be friends (wait for your love)"
Ariana Grande ~ "imperfect for you"
Kacey Musgraves ~ "The Architect"
Re: Disney Princesses Got a Makeover
Oh dear, really? I think it looks a lot nicer than the original park outfit. (In my earlier post when I said that I prefer this one to the original, I didn't mean the movie version, just the park one).
Re: Disney Princesses Got a Makeover
I met Snow in her new outfit recently and I thought it looked great! I've only been to the parks when I was little and I'm not too plugged in to what's going on with the face characters. I was surprised how much energy and personality she had compared to others I met.. she even outshone Rapunzel who was in the same hall!
I reeeeally love the recolors that were posted. They look amazing.
