Actually, I haven't seen any Ozu films. At the time of that post, Criterion had just released two-movie box set and I was interested in it based on the reviews I had read. I hoped I'd buy it as my introductory movies into his works. But I decided instead to continue with 1940s Powell & Pressburger before I move on to another director, so he's taken a backseat until after I acquire

One of Our Aircraft is Missing, and
The Life and Death of Colonel Blimp as that'd complete 1940s P&P. Then I'd move on to Ozu (hopefully by July and the next 50% off sale) and pick up the two-film set as well as the two Eclipse sets before moving on to some of the singular titles Criterion's released, like
Tokyo Story and
Late Spring.
