What is Your Favorite Type of Bread and Why

I got this idea from Escapay and he suggested on making this thread. So which one is your favorite. Also tell us why it is your favorite. I am making a poll to go with this. I got the types of the internet so sorry if they are inaccurate.

I like white because it's softer and easier to chew.

It's another Escpay-inspired thread about but this time its about bread.....first gum and then Milk Duds..Then Gromit and Milk Duds together.what's next? .Escpay's Favorite kind of chocolate drink that he likes the most to go with his Milk Dud's and Juicy Fruit Gum?

P.S. I like White bread.....idk why...I just do.....I don't feel there is a illogicial sense for me liking white bread

and what the heck...Cottage Bread? I've never heard of this....

Pumpernickel. But I have to be in a certain mood/craving for it.

Otherwise, I'll have white bread, italian bread, or sourdough breadbowls (which save on cleaning, yay and yum!).

White is best for toast - if you're going to butter and jelly it. And I prefer it for grilled cheese sandwiches.

Wheat is best for deli-meat sandwiches.

And I just got this bread last weak that they call "Home Bake White" that when you toast it, I swear - you could use it for crutons! So, I did, in my salad.

I voted for whole grain, but whole wheat is really my favorite, which is different from just normal wheat. But I'm not too picky about bread, although I'm not a fan of cold cut sandwiches on white bread, unless it's like bakery crusty white bread (since normal white bread is so much thinner than other breads or something)...I don't know how else to explain it. I really like hearty breads.

Each has its appeal and I can't say I'm especially loyal to any, except I do eat more of Pepperidge Farm's Cinnamon Swirl than any other kind of bread. But not for sandwiches.

Okay, Flight of the Conchords references aside, I do actually really quite like French bread (in particular baguettes and also brioche), as well as crumpets, which I got some French friends of mine addicted to.

Of those ones listed, I'll go for Italian as I like ciabatta.

My favorite is butter bread. To me it tastes so delicious and very delectable. I noticed some people wanted breads not on the poll. Like I said before I am very sorry. I got the list on the internet and didn't want it to be too long.

By the way, I hope you don't mind me asking, but what exactly is butter bread? Is it an American English term for something (bread with butter in it or on it)? If so, it's probably just me being a naive little Brit and I apologise.

That's quite a poll! So many breads, so little time. I love alot of them mentioned but I guess I could lean towards sourdough, but cinnamon is so amazing!

Butter bread, if it's what he was talking about, is similar to white bread, but I think they bake the crust with melted butter or something.

Oh, OK. I just know that, when a lot of people say "butter bread," they are in fact referring to "buttered bread," which can be any sort of bread that has butter on it. I was confused by that.

Home made white bread fresh out of the oven, with a little knob of butter (and homemade Turkey gravy at holidays) is heaven.
