Ilse de Lange- So Incredible

She's a Dutch popular singer, who performs in English. Perez Hilton had a blog about her, praising her talents. Do you agree?

Have a favorite song? Mine would probably be "All Over the World", but "Don't Bring Me Down" and "Do Ya" would give it good competition.

I heard "Don't Bring Me Down" on the radio last week and I don't think I ever liked it as much as I did then.

My childhood favorite was "Evil Woman," thanks to Disney as a matter of fact. Linky 1. Linky 2 (the last paragraph under Other Uses). My teenage favorite was "Strange Magic."

Now, I think I would say it's "Showdown." But this is one of those bands where it's really hard to pick just 1 best or favorite song.

Ever since I got the Watchmen Blu-ray, I've had "Prophecies" and "Pruitt Igoe" stuck in my head, composed by Phillip Glass for the film Koyaanisqatsi. Both are very simple, haunting pieces and used very effectively while explaining the origins of Dr. Manhatten in Watchmen. They were also put to good use in the films final trailer.

What if by Rhydian Roberts (my favourite singer of all time :D ) & Idina Menzel
If you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
Romans 10:9. 2 Timothy ch2 v 19, “ Everyone who confesses the name of the Lord must turn away from wickedness”.

"O Come All Ye Faithful" by Julie Andrews was just on, and "Merry Christmas Darling" by The Carpenters is on now. Bobby can't stream online radio at work, and he likes Christmas music, and he had me record some classical Christmas music yesterday for him, and now I'm recording "Old Fashioned Christmas" songs from an online radio station, so he can listen at work. Like, I'm just letting the recorder record everything, and it'll be one long .wav file that I'll turn into one really long .mp3 file, so he can just "stream" it at work.

I'm listening to the Beatles 1 CD. I really can't wait for the remastered versions coming out in September.

I forgot to post this because I don't usually post in this thread, but last week I listened to the soundtrack of "We Will Rock You", Queen's rock musical, and loved it even after having it two years. Bohemian Rhapsody is always an awesome listen!

Bob Dylan- Hurricane

After so many times, it still gives me goosebumps and (yes, I'll admit it) it can drive me to tears. The story, the lyrics, just the whole intensity of the song is so overwhelming. Especially the haunting violin, and Dylan's passionate way of singing. And let's not forget that guitar. Oh well, everything about this song is brilliant.

I agree! I actually just bought that song off of iTunes after only listening to the preview. The only complaint I have is that I feel like it's a bit repetitive.

Anyway, I've been listening to the song "Funhouse" by P!nk from the album of the same name. I love it! P!nk is one of, if not my absolute favorite, artist. I've never been disappointed with an album of hers (well, with the exception of Can't Take Me Home - I liked some songs off of it, but I'm not a huge fan of the album as a whole - but that's because she had pretty much no creative control over the album, which changed with the M!ssundaztood album and continues to this day).

I love the entire Funhouse album! Every second is great, and if anyone hasn't given the album a chance, then I strongly suggest that they do! I especially love the "Funhouse" single's cover:

In fact, I think I may actually like it better than the album's artwork! If she ever decides to release a Deluxe Edition for the album, she should use this cover, definitely.

Checking out Juliette Lewis's first CD. Not bad. But, not really that attention-grabbing yet. Good "intro" track though.
