BURBANK, Calif., October 16, 2006 – For the first time, the hit Disney Channel Series “Hannah Montana”
comes to Disney DVD in Hannah Montana: Livin’ The Rock Star Life on October 24 from Walt Disney Home
Entertainment. Miley (Hannah Montana) gets herself into hilarious situations as she struggles to hide her true
identity, because she wants to be treated like any other teenager, not a pop star. Hannah Montana: Livin’
The Rock Star Life has a special never-before-seen episode, along with awesome bonus features - an
exclusive interview with Miley Cyrus, Miley’s audition tape, and a Hannah Montana music video. Available for
U.S. $19.99 (SRP), Canada $24.99 (SRP) from Buena Vista Home Entertainment.
Disney Channel's premiere of "Hannah Montana" in March was the highest rated series premiere on any kid
targeted channel since 1999 and it has since built to become a smash hit, ranking year-to-date, as the #1 rated
series on basic cable TV among Tweens 9-14 and #2 among Kids 6-11. For third quarter 2006, "Hannah
Montana" is the #1 rated series on broadcast and basic cable TV among Tweens 9-14 and tied for #1 among
Kids 6-11.
Walt Disney Records releases the highly anticipated soundtrack to "Hannah Montana" day and date alongside
the DVD on Tuesday, October 24. The soundtrack features music from the sitcom and a music DVD with five
concert videos seen on "Hannah Montana."
"Hannah Montana" follows typical tween Miley Stewart who lives with her older brother and widowed dad, a
songwriter. But unbeknownst to her friends and classmates, Miley has a secret double life – she is the world
famous pop star Hannah Montana. Combining a stage persona with creative costuming, Miley discovers she
can have the best of both worlds – the fame and fortune of a well-known singer and the fun of middle school
with her best friends Lilly and Oliver, whom she has entrusted with her secret identity.
Miley Cyrus stars as Hanna Montana, and is joined in the cast by Emily Osment (“Spy Kids 3D: Game Over”),
Mitchel Musso (“Monster House”), Jason Earles (“Phil of the Future”), and multi-platinum-selling country music
star Billy Ray Cyrus, the real-life and on-screen dad of Miley Cyrus/Hannah Montana.

Never seen Hannah Montana, so I'm not going to get this, but even if I had seen it, I wouldn't buy it. I'd rather wait for season sets. I really hope that Disney starts releasing season sets of other shows that they've already tested, such as Kim Possible and That's So Raven. And Lizzie McGuire, but I'm not holding my breath.

It's a decent show, but I think i'll wait for an eventual season set. I'm not paying $15 for 3-4 episodes, not woth it. I'll save that money for Josh Groban's new CD. _________________ User formerly known as LizzieMcGuire

Why isn't Disney releasing episode lists on the press releases anymore? Now that I think about it, did they ever put episode lists on them? It sucks that we have to wait until the review to find out what eps are on there. Not that I really care, since I haven't seen the show yet, but I'm sure that there are some fans out there that want particular episodes and could be disappointed with what's actually on the DVD.

I want to know what the episodes are. Yeah, I'm a fan of Hannah Montana, and I don't even know why; the show is cheesy, the acting is terrible, the writing is predictable, and I don't even like the music (although they are beginning to grow on me).
Anyway, chances are that I'll rent this from Netflix. _________________

Pass. I never liked this show. Even the "funny" jokes weren't even funny. I think I almost cried the first time I saw this series. Sorry Disney, but you aren't getting my $19.99 + tax. _________________
I'll admit it, I love this show I probably WON'T buy this DVD though, I'd much rather get a season set if anything. _________________ But the thing that makes Woody special, is he'll never give up on you... ever. He'll be there for you, no matter what.

Episode 1: Miley says or does something that almost reveals to everyone that she's Hannah Montana, while Lily gets in some slapstick comedy trouble, and Jackson does something stupid that shows why he's such an unnecessary and unlikable character.
Rinse, lather, and repeat, and you've got the 4 Hannah Montana episodes.
This from someone who tolerates the show. Can you imagine what I'd say if I hated it?

Just read the review, very informative. Now I know that Hannah Montana is definitely not as good as other DC shows, and that I shouldn't bother to go out of my way to watch. Even though I shouldn't want to, I actually still want to check it out, even if it is sub-par. Anyway, great review Luke. Keep up the good work.

I read the review, and it the author was wondering about the magazines in the episode where Miley goes on a date and has to be both herself and Hannah Montana. On Disney Channel the magazines are also censor-blurred _________________ But the thing that makes Woody special, is he'll never give up on you... ever. He'll be there for you, no matter what.

Geez, wouldn't it have been easier to make a fake magazine for the episode instead of having to blur out a real one?
