The D Show

Post by Flanger-Hanger »

Does anybody remeber the 1998 computer game the D Show? It was a great Disney computer trivia game with a funny host where everybody played for D-Bucks! :D

And the theme song was great to:

"Mickey and Minnie, and Donland and Huey
Pluto and Goofy, and Duey and Louie
Epcot and Toontown and Flubber thats Goey
Everybody play the D Show!"

Does anybody else remeber or still have the game?

I don't remember all the lyrics but here's another set:

"Sleepy, Sneezy, Savage, Snow White and the rest
Join the fun now, be our guest
Just ask Pocahontas, Perdita and Pooh
If it's a supercalifragilistic hullabaloo..."

No. It's:
"Sleepy, Sneezy, Savage Sam, Snow White and the rest
Join the fun and be our guest
Just ask Pocahontas, Perdita, and Pooh
If it's a supercalifragilistic hullabaloo
Supercalifragilistic hullabaloo"

I'm sorry I spelt Donald wrong but here are more lyrics!

"Bambi and Dumbo, Fantasia Old Yeller
Sebastian Sarabi, Space Mounatin Curella
Belle and Gaston and that big hairry fella!
Everybody play the D Show!

Try a question, try a bunch
Even if it's just a hunch
don't know if the answer is false or true
Just try a little Bibbidy Bobbidy Boo!

Mogly, Mad Hatter, Buzz Lightyear and Roo
Lots of Prince Charmings but who goes with who
That Cinderella's the one with the shoe
Everybody play the D Show

Disney Fans lyrics

From Disneyland Paris to Tokyo
Time to show us what you know
ready set, hear we go!
Everybody play the D Show

Hi Diddle Dee
Chim Chim Chim Chr-ree
Everybody play the D Show!

THAT is the coolest PC game. Ever. I've always wanted them to make a second edition. The hostess was freaking hilarious, and I love how retro the game's visual style was. Most of my Disney knowledge I've learned from that game, and I've wished time and time again that The D Show would become a real TV game show so that I could enter and win D bucks. :D

You know, I actually found a copy of that game in a Dollar Store and bought it but I've never actually played it.

What was your favorite bonus round? Mine has to be the match-up ones. There were two of these games: one where you compare an image from a movie with a original concept drawing and the other being this one with character images being matched with a background image. My least favorite is the picture scramble game. I always either just let the game solve itself or just before the final square slides into place.

My favourite bonus round was Cast Call where you were shown pictures of movie characters and you had to guess which movie it was

My least favourite was Picture Pirfect where you had to rearange a puzzle

I play the game every couple of yaers to refresh my Disney memory

and your right Disneykid a real version of the show would be awsome!

The D Show was the best game ever. I think I wore out most of the rounds within the first couple of weeks I had it. If only the questions on Disney's Scene-It were more on the same level.
WIST #1 (The pinkrenata Edition) -- Kram Nebuer: *mouth full of Oreos* Why do you have a picture of Bobby Driscoll?

My favorite bonus round was Before & After where you matched concept art with the final version of the character. Since this was before the era of bonus feature-laden DVDs, seeing concept art was fascinating to me (and it still is). I also loved the little retro-sounding Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo music in the background.

I, too, hated Picture Perfect. I think I only won that round a couple of times. Scrambled tile games are never really my thing.

The D Fibulator was really cool, too. I loved how more outrageous the questions got because they knew the player was feeling rushed and wasn't thinking straight. The last true or false statement would always be the most ridiculous. "Bambi is a girl!!"

I used to put true for that answer

Yeah, and the hostess doesn't help matters, either. She only adds to the rushedness; as time runs out, she says the words onscreen louder and louder until it sounds like she's screaming. She would say it like this at the very end: "BAMBI IS A GIRL!!!!"

1998? Was it that long? I really am getting old.

What a splendid game it is.

My favorite would be Picture Perfect. It's the easiest. You just have to buzz in when the picture is nearly put to pieces then you'll have to do the remaining squares.

Are you kidding? I HATED Picture Perfect! I prefer the match-up games Before and After and Cel-o-vision. I also kind of like Character Mix-Ups.

In fact, I have this game in my house, but I'm not really allowed to play this game by myself, because I know a lot of trivia.
