"Desperate Housewives" is one of the best written, best acted, and funniest shows on television today. I agree that season 2 didn't have the same impact as season one, but I think we are all used to the characters, and this year it was just a treat to watch all of the understories come to the surface. I thik this show will go on for a couple more years.
This Season two set will be in my collection the morning Best Buy opens it doors to sell it.

Touché. I'll be counting down the days until the Housewives and Anatomy are in my hands.
I'm so glad that I picked up Season 2. I'm a fan of the show, sure, but, I too felt that Season 2 was not as strong as Season 1. It certainly picked back up toward the middle of the season, and kept it going into the finale.
However, watching the Season 2 episodes, back to back, I've found myself much more into it, than when they were first broadcast. It certainly helps to be able to watch these episodes, one right after the other. I've gotten almost half-way through the season, and it's much stronger than I remember.

I feel the same way. Season two is much better the second time around! I'll be starting disc 5 in a few minutes. _________________ The user formerly known as Prince Ali. I'll be pretty darn pissed if you forgot about me.

I'm looking forward to repeats of the second season over the summer this year here in Australia. They screen them at midnight, but that's okay since I stay up that late anyway in the holidays. I'm also looking forward to the review of it by UltimateDisney.com. Who's writing it? When will it be up?

Well, I finished the set last night, and I still say that I loved this season. Many people said how it was in "the 2nd season slump" but i really didnt see it. I agree it was easier to watch them back to back though. Im glad that the season finale was so freakin' awesome, they need to make them all 2-hours. I like the packaging because its consistent with S1, but what really bothers me is that the writing on the spine isnt on the clear plastic cover, its on the actual cover, unlike S1, but I will survive. I loved all of the character developments, and I just realized how great an actress the girl who plays Danielle is. They need to use her more. It was freaking awesome! Cant wait for S3!!!!!!! _________________ We need season sets of all DCOSs and all DCOMs on DVD! And Better Cover Art!

That's good news! I was suspicious that it might be the case, and I was waiting for a review of some sort to confirm it. I will definitely get this set (in November, when it's released in R2) and I'll give it a second spin, see how it holds up. _________________ "See, I'm not a monster. OK, so Amazon UK lists 7 discs, and rumor has it that it will have 7 discs here too. I haven't heard anything of the type from the R1 release, so this has gotten me curious. My question is this; how many discs are actually included in the set? _________________ "See, I'm not a monster. I'm just ahead of the curve." - The Joker

Thing is though, that season 1 was a 6-disc set and carried through all the bonus features. _________________ "See, I'm not a monster. I'm just ahead of the curve." - The Joker
In R1, Season 2 is a 6 disc set. The episodes are contained on the first five discs. The sixth disc contains all the bonus features. There are no bonus features on the first five discs. I'm working on the review and will have it done soon.

Great, looking forward to it. Just wondering- who're on the 6 discs? Cover art I mean. Is it Susan, Lynette, Bree, Gabrielle, Betty and Edie?

I wish they had done that with the first season. It's tiring having to remember which disc had which bonus feature.

Yep! You got it!
Yay! I thought that maybe someone else could be on the Edie one, since she wasn't in it as much as last season, but I guess that I turned out to be right. Who're on the commentaries? If it's too many people to mention and too tiring to remember, then don't answer me. I can wait for the review.
