Hi, I asked this in an another thread, but got no awnser. I used the search feature but couldn't find anything. So sorry if this has been asked before.

On Disney's animated classic website they don't list The Emperor's New Groove, but they do list The Reluctant Dragon. Take a look for youself.

Why is this?

Most likely an oversight. Notice how it's not listed at all? If it were not one of the classics but it was listed, it would show up in the right column labeled "Other Animated Movies." And even then the Disney site includes Miramax/Dimension titles when it suits them. It's all fuzzy math.

Because the people who run Disney's DVD site aren't all that great. Their information is constantly wrong or outdated. The listing Luke has on the animated classics page of this website is the correct one. The way an animated classic is defined (at least by me) is a film animated by Walt Disney Feature Animation studio. Even though the animated portions of Reluctant Dragon were done by Disney veterans, too much of the film is done in live-action. The feature is basically to show how animated films are created in an era before millions of people commonly watch DVD documentaries as opposed to feature-length animated story (or even a series of stories).
