I knew about that cameo, but I didn't know about the Hercules one that appears on the link. Or if I knew, I had forgotten about it.
By the way, apart from the one listed in the article, there seems to be two more cameos of the directors in The Princess and the Frog, but I'm not sure if they have been officially confirmed or not:
Disney's Divinity wrote:
Japan gets all the nice things. We have to get hideous, crowded, clipart-infested, smirking trainwreck covers. But America is home of McDonald's, the Kardashians, and Trump, so... What can you expect.
Even their merchandise for the Disney Parks is far better than what we get. I see their stuff on Ebay all the time and they really love the classic Disney characters. Pinocchio, Dumbo, Chip and Dale, The Aristocats, Alice in Wonderland, and some of the more obscure Mickey and Friends characters. I also prefer their princess line which is a truncated one of what we have featuring only the most popular princesses: Snow White, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Ariel, Belle, Jasmine, and Rapunzel.
yes yes and yes! they have great stuff at their Disney Stores too.

^ I'm glad it has been confirmed. And, yes, maybe they aren't aware of that second cameo, or they simply didn't remember to mention it in the interview. Also, interesting to know the Fenner Brothers were first conceived as a caricature of the directors. When I first saw the film, I remember I doubted whether it was just that moment with the cake or the Fenner brothers were a caricature of them all the time. Now I know why. Though the idea was discarded, I guess they still kept some of their traits.
I was watching some of the blu-ray extras the other day and there's a second cameo of the directors in Moana I had forgotten about and that article doesn't mention:
Baby Driver
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2: Awesome Mix Vol. 2
Hidden Figures: The Album
La La Land
Moana: The Songs
Best Song Written For Visual Media
City of Stars (from La La Land)
How Far I'll Go (from Moana)
I Don't Wanna Live Forever (from Fifty Shades Darker)
Never Give Up (from Lion)
Stand Up for Something (from Marshall)
Mark Mancina wrote:I worked on [Moana] for three years and that was the hardest film I've ever been involved in. I was not only the score composer but I was also the co-songwriter and co-producer of all the songs and the score. So, my plate was so full on that movie. I was so invested in it.
I wish Disney would put out another covers album (either We Love Disney or Disneymania, whatever) to get more covers of music from this, Frozen, and Tangled. Maybe even "Evermore" from the LA B&tB. They have covered deleted songs and Broadway-only songs before on those compilations (Her Voice, Proud of Your Boy, etc.).
Listening to most often lately:
Ariana Grande ~ "we can't be friends (wait for your love)"
Ariana Grande ~ "imperfect for you"
Kacey Musgraves ~ "The Architect"
Disney seems to have better luck there than at the Oscars. I'm surprised it beat "City of Stars". Maybe "Evermore" could win next year, or was it in contention for this year's award?
