Did anyone?

Well yes, a seemingly small minority did, but I don't really get it. The show has proved time and time again that Ted and Robin do not work, so why lead the end of he series into them getting together anyway? I understand that the creators wrote and shot the scene with the kids back in season 2, when Ted and Robin were dating, but it's been 7 years since then and the characters have evolved beyond that. Ugh.

Well, I didn't watch so I didn't know, but TBF, it at least makes some sense of the idea of him telling this incredibly elaborate story that only ends with him meeting their mother for the first time(or so implied)

I guess you'd have to watch it to be annoyed. Wow, so few people on here watched HIMYM though, huh?

Also, RIP Community.

So right now I'm watching (or will watch, in some cases):

Once Upon a Time
American Horror Story: Freak Show
(Because Kathy Bates, Angela Basset, Jessica Lange, Frances Conroy, Gabourey Sidibe, and Sarah Paulson are all returning; I love the circus theme, especially the clown; and I also watched Asylum after Coven and enjoyed it, even though I still couldn't get into the first season.)
Scandal (Watching season 3 through Netflix right now so I'm finally caught up.)
How to Get Away with Murder (Hopefully it'll be good, but, if not, the hot gay scenes in the commercials give me something to look forward to, at least)
Forever (Giving it a chance, could get bad; the lead is amazingly hot.)
Galavant (For Menken's music.)
Please Like Me (Started watching this on Pivot early this year. Not perfect, but I like it.)

I'm also watching The Voice in a passing way, just because I like Gwen Stefani--it seems like one judge always ropes me back (Christina, then Usher, now Gwen) even though being invested in contestants is pretty pointless. Again, Downton Abbey and Idol in the Spring (although the latter is out of habit, the new judges and their bad taste pretty much ruined it for me last year).

Also, I missed the premiere of Scorpion even though I wanted to see it. I like the actor they got for the lead, and of course Katharine McPhee, but it doesn't look like something I'd enjoy. I'll probably catch Game of Thrones and Penny Dreadful via Netflix when they come on there.

Gotham- really enjoyed the pilot
Blackish- also really enjoyed the pilot
Forever- we shall see about this one. I'm very on the fence.
How to Get Away With Murder- hopefully it'll be great.
Selfie- not expecting much, but it did say it was based on My Fair Lady so maybe there'll be an injoke or two.
AHS: Freak Show- very highly anticipated
Galavant- Please, let this be good!

I was going to watch Madam Secretary but my timer messed up the premiere so that annoyed me.

I feel like I should give Gotham a chance since Batman has always been my favorite of the "superheroes," but the commercials seemed a little odd to me. I'll try to catch it next week. My favorite part might end up be seeing the beginning stories for several of the villains.

I wonder if it would be worth it to start threads for some of these shows (HtGAwM, Forever, AHS)? Maybe that might bring some life to this section of the forum again?

A to Z (for Cristin Milioti alone, really. But the premise is cute!)
American Horror Story: Freak Show
Arrow
Bob's Burgers
The Flash
Gotham (although I missed the premiere)

Mine did, too (I think it was because a football game was on and so everything got pushed back); I think the pilot is airing again either tomorrow or some other time this weekend.

My television watching schedule for 2014-2015:

Thanks to Vudu, I got to see and keep all the first episodes of Madam Secretary, Scorpion, The Black List and Sleepy Hollow for FREE!!!.

Sunday

Once Upon A Time
Guy's Grocery Games
Cutthroat Kitchen
The Walking Dead
The Talking Dead
CSI

Monday

Gotham (really liked the premier episode)
Sleepy Hollow
The Voice
Star Wars: Rebels (starts October 6)
Castle
Scorpion
The Black List
NCIS: Los Angeles

Tuesday

The Voice
NCIS
Marvel Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
The Flash
Person of Interest
Chopped
Chicago Fire

Wednesday

The Mysteries of Laura (Debra Messing at her best!!)
Buying and Selling (The Property Brothers)
Criminal Minds
Cutthroat Kitchen (five-week special edition starting Oct. 8)
Chicago PD
The Ultimate Fighter

Thursday

Bones
Pawn Stars

Friday

Hawaii 5-0
Blue Bloods
Shark Tank
Bellator MMA

Saturday

Hell On Wheels
Auction Hunters
The Transporter
UFC Fight Night

I have a DVR that records up to six shows at one time, so I do spread these out during the week. There are other shows that we watch on a semi-regular basis on Food Network, and HGTV. It's NASCAR Season so my Saturday and Sunday afternoons are taken up with that, and after the season ends in November I will probably watch a NFL game, or just watch movies from my Vudu collection or my expansive Blu-ray and DVD collection.

Ah, thanks for pointing that out. I've got a time scheduled for tomorrow at 8 PM now.

Also, SNL is back this weekend...

For 2014-2015 season:
The Walking Dead
South Park
Modern family
Game of Thrones

I'm also already looking forward to next years series of The Great British Bake Off although I have 10 months to go.

I'd like S5 of Arrested Development but I know that could be a while and possible the 2015-2016 season.
Settling Soul mates? That is grim. And I've played Monopoly alone.

The shows I’ll be watching this year, not including talkshows/late night shows:

American Horror Story: Hotel
Please Like Me
A Place to Call Home
Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries
Downton Abbey (final season)
Once Upon a Time
Galavant
The Voice (Spring Only)*
American Idol (final season)*
Scream Queens*
Scandal*
How to Get Away with Murder*
The Muppets*
South Park
Steven Universe
Game of Thrones

* These shows I’ll be watching casually. With The Muppets, I probably will miss some episodes, but I’ll definitely watch the beginning—especially since Josh Groban should have a few cameos. I only watch The Voice if Christina Aguilera or Usher are on, and she’ll be there this Spring. With JLo and Harry Connick, Jr., American Idol will be drawing its very last, withered breath and, honestly, good riddance to those two—worst judges of the series. For some reason I’ve started to get back into South Park lately, so I’ll try to watch the rest of the season.

There are so many shows this season, but I'll try to get to a lot of them (though, I'll probably watch some exclusively on Hulu). Let's see:

American Horror Story: Hotel
Archer (though, I don't have FXX, so I might not be able to see this season until it's on Hulu)
Blindspot
Blood and Oil
Brooklyn Nine-Nine
Dancing with the Stars
Empire (Hulu)
Fargo
Game of Thrones
Gotham (Hulu unless Supergirl doesn't work out)
Grandfathered (Hulu)
Heroes Reborn
How to Get Away with Murder
Jane the Virgin (Hulu)
Limitless
Modern Family (Hulu)
New Girl (Hulu)
Once Upon a Time
Quantico
Saturday Night Live
Scream Queens
Supergirl
Survivor
The Bastard Executioner
The Grinder (Hulu)
The Last Man on Earth (Hulu)
The Muppets
The Mysteries of Laura (Hulu)
Wicked City
Worst Cooks in America: Celebrity Edition

I'll probably only stick with about half of the new shows, but I'm willing to give them a try. I'm also probably missing a number of shows.

^ I might watch the Heroes Reborn premiere. I don't know, Heroes really burned me, as far as having so much potential that went nowhere.
