Guess I've never really taken much notice to be honest, Ive never seen any posters, billboards or TV commercials advertising a theatrical release for any of them. I own the first two on DVD and I remember they're alright, better than the majority of DTV sequels that's for sure but overall pretty forgettable films. The remember the animation in them being exceptionally good for a DTV release but Im sure if they had given the franchise a more substantial budget and a bit of breathing space each entry could easily have been given a theatrical release. Guess at the end of the day you've got to take it for what it is a franchise built to sell merchandise to a demographic of little girls.

Does any of the later entries show any more of Neverland? I always hoped we would get to see Mermaid Lagoon! Also another thing that confused me is why are the majority of characters different to those found in the beginning of the franchise, I vaguely remember there being a blonde hair water fairy named Rani but in the films we have Silvermist instead, do these other fairies make an appearance? I'm not sure whether to rebuy the first two on BluRay and try and save up DMR to get the third film
I love The Little Mermaid and Ariel

Not so much of the billboards, but bus shelter posters for sure! And copious TV spots as well.

I think it is a bit cynical to look at it has an extended commercial; if you go along that vein of thinking, then Cars and Cars II have been solely designed for little boys. Tink may have started that way, but really don't think it is any more. People have taken genuine care to develop the land, story, and characters. They could easily have left it at one film; that would have been enough to establish the world.

It does have a solid 'older' fanbase too, as you can see on here. I adore these movies, and think it is one of the best things Disney are producing at the moment :)

Toonzone Talks Toons and Turtles with Voice Actor Rob Paulsen
http://www.toonzone.net/2012/09/toonzon ... EoY5LLiaqR
Q: I noticed that Mae Whitman is Tinker Bell in those movies, where you’re Bobble.

Rob Paulsen: Yeah! And after I’m done here, I’m on my way to one of those today. She is fantastic. She is just an incredible little actress. That sounds so condescending, but she is physically pretty little (laughter). But she’s just wonderful, and what a pro! Really great sense of humor and very very sharp. She’s just beautiful, and just a pleasure to be around. We’ve got a great group on the show.

Q: Is there anything else you’ve got coming up that we can look forward to?

Rob Paulsen: There are more Tinker Bell movies coming up. There’s a new one called Secret of the Wings, and that’s coming out I think in the fall. [...] I’m doing a bunch of music for Disney today and Friday, though I’m not exactly sure of the projects. I’ve always got irons in the fire.

Interview: Voice actress Kari Wahlgren talks 'Kaijudo,' video games, and more
http://www.examiner.com/article/intervi ... s-and-more
Q:Are there any upcoming roles or projects that you'd like to let readers know about?

Kari Wahlgren:“Tinkerbell: Secret of the Wings” DVD just came out. I voiced a couple roles. I played the receptionist fairy and they have an additional movie on the disc called “Pixie Hollow Games” and I play Ivy. And we have new episodes of “Fish Hooks,” “Kung Fu Panda: Legend of Awesomeness,” WINX and a number of games I can’t talk about yet.

I think that has to do with the original versions of the first Tink film... being scrapped several times. You do see a few of the original fairies as background characters in the first 2 or 3 films.

I'm not familiar with the Disney Fairies books, but I know those are the main fairies featured. They are also in the Tinkerbell comic book series! I've read a few of those and need to get the others! :D Captain Hook is in one of them also.

I really liked the song "Great Divide". I think it's my favorite from all of the Tinker Bell pop songs so far.

Well she is just plain adorable!

The people they get to play the Tink characters are alway pretty wonderful; maybe their meet n greet environment adds to that as it seems so relaxed.

It seems that the meet and greets work like this...

- When the first Tinker Bell movie came out, you could meet Tinker Bell, and at random one of her fairy friends.

- When the second movie came out, with Terence being an active player in the story, he moved in with Tink, and the other fairy friends became random characters, but it was almost a guarantee that you could meet Tink with Terence.

- With Vidia being one of the protagonists of the third movie, she then became a meet and greet character, pushing Terence into the sidelines with the other characters, while she and Tink did sessions together.

Now with Periwinkle with Tink, Vidia has been pushed aside and is now a random meet and greet fairy alongside the rest.

I see the mentality behind all of this, give exposure to the character that spends time with Tink, but I wish Vidia at least hung out more. She seemed to be the most popular fairy after Tink herself.

We all know her show "ANT Farm" is complete shit, but hers and he sisters vocal talent is astounding, the remind me so much of Destiny's Child!

(I some how wish the the Fairies Actresses would sing the closing song though, Like Raven or Lucy Hale!)

The sixth 'Disney Fairies' movie titled Legend of the Never Beast will center around Fawn!

After Rosetta being the protagonist in Pixie Hollow Games, now Fawn will get to star in her own movie. I wonder if Quest for the Queen will also center around some other fairy and not Tinker Bell.

David Knott is a storyboard artist at DisneyToon Studios. Steve Loter is the director of Legend of the Never Beast.
David Knott wrote:In early February, I left Nickelodeon after 6 years of rewarding work and started over at DisneyToon Studios to work for my good friend, mentor, and trusted colleague, Steve Loter, on the 6th movie in the Pixie Hollow/Tinkerbell pantheon. I'm leaving behind the macro world of directing for my first love, storyboarding.

David Knott wrote:So I’m working on a movie in the Pixie Hollow fairy franchise for Disney, and ours centers on Fawn, the animal talent fairy. Well, while at Disneyland recently, we decided to go to the Pixie Hollow attraction so my daughters could meet and take photos with a couple of the Disney fairies. As we took our place in line, one of the attendants apologetically announced that Tinker Bell was taking a break and we might want to come back later. ”Who is in Pixie Hollow right now?” I inquired. ”Fawn.” Perfect. So it wasn’t just my girls who got photos with Fawn.
