Firstly - I haven't posted in about a month, but it feels longer...probably because I was posting rather infrequently. This forum doesn't seem as fun as it used to be, even though I only joined last year. I will possibly just become a lurker here.
More importantly...Goliath's back! I'm really glad you've decided to stay.

I'm glad that Goliath is back, of course!
I'm also glad Dr. Frankenollie is back. Well kinda back. Haha.

Sometimes I try to post more often, but it normally ends up seeming like more effort than its worth. :shrugs:
Anyways, I too must say to Goliath that you've always been one of my favorite members.. I do hope you choose to stay around because I always enjoy reading your very well thought-out and opinionated posts. If you decide against it, I understand completely... I of all people can understand why someone wouldn't want to stick around a place they are, seemingly, unwanted.

I'm sorry to hear that you haven't been finding this forum very fun as of late, and I hope it regains its appeal for you.
That said, have you contacted a Moderator?

Well, I haven't been THAT much of a poster considering how many years I've been around, but I think it's time to call it official.
I'm just not going to be around hardly at all for a while. I've moved into a new apartment a bit over a month ago and to save on money I've decided not to get internet for the time being. I'll still check in once in a while, but I'm not going to be posting nearly as much as I have in the past simply because I'm not able to.
Since I joined in 2005 this forum has been a steady part of my life, and it's been hard not being able to check in as much as I'm used to. There are many new and old friends here and I miss you all.

I know I've been away a while, so I just wanted to post an update.
I've had a pretty bad scare with my eyes. When I reported seeing spots to my doctor and was asked about them in detail, she freaked out on me for not going to the ER since there was a possibility my retinas were detaching (AKA going blind). After going through the huge scare and seeing a couple of specialists, nobody knows what's wrong with me, but they've at least ruled out the initial concern. I already have retinal degeneration, ocular hypertension, and lattice degeneration with my eyes, and since I'm already severely myopic and have thin corneas I'm prone to certain conditions. I've limited my PC time to rest my eyes, but my symptoms aren't changing. It's a pain, but at least it sounds like my sight is no longer in danger and I now know to stay extra vigilant on reporting any further changes in my vision.
I also spent some time with family in California, which was good for me. My grandma gave me a necklace & earring set my mom gave her before she was married (which was about 50 years ago)! So nice to have something like that.
I also adopted a new puppy! Her name is Sarabi and she's a black spanador (cocker spaniel/labrador mix). We've already got a black beagle/labradoodle mix named Cinder and they look like they're related, lol. Together they're a handful, and I'm still training the little one some puppy manners.
Rey and I are also planning on moving next month, as long as everything goes through ok with the lease. The place is bigger and closer to family (Rey's sister just had a baby)! I'm so looking forward to the change.
Anyway, that's why I haven't been around lately. Hoping things will settle back down again soon.

I'm glad to see that everything's going well for you, E! And we better seem some pictures of your new dogs pronto cause they sound pretty adorable. I hope you find out about what's going on with your eyes soon.

Aw, thanks guys! I've got two follow-up visits about my eyes this coming week, so I'm hoping I get the ok for things to go back to normal (not supposed to be stressing my body right now so I've been taking it easy for a while).
As for the puppies . . .
Here's me and Sarabi:
And Sarabi and Cinder hanging out:
Cinder just turned one year old, and Sarabi is three months.
Oh, and here's another pic of Cinder from when she was still a little pup:
We brought Cinder with us when we were adopting Sarabi (she was from a rescue) and all sorts of little kids were asking if Sarabi was Cinder's baby.

Aw, they're so cute! Sorry to hear about the eye thing (that would be terrifying), so I'm glad you got some help and I hope everything works out there!
