However, I noticed they cut out that shot with the "epidermal tissue disruptor", AKA the chainsaw. That shot, let alone other scenes, better not be cut from the Blu-ray or else I won't be too pleased.
I think that was just cut for television. There shoud've been a disclaimer saying something like "this film has been alotted for time and edited for content" or something (did you see it or no?). Pretty sure the film will be uncut for the new release.

Out of curiosity, why cut the shot for the broadcast?

I'm guessing as it was on Disney Junior that they thought that particular scene would be unsuitable for younger audiences. They cut scenes out of films and television shows all the time depending on the network, time of day and audience.

It could also be simply for time. Gotta get those commercials in there.

Apparently the trailer for the Blu-ray release is in (at least) one of the new Disney BDs which were released in the UK. Be on the watch people

From what the trailer offers, this release will be great. Surprised that the trailer made no mention of special features though.

The trailer should say at the end "For the first time on Disney Blu-Ray. For the last time on physical media!"

I'm surprised they didn't include Bruce Broughton's soaring score from Rescuers Down Under in the trailer. Would have really added to it.

Do we know whether this release will have any bonus features? Disney's site doesn't indicate any.

I suppose we'll have to cling to our old editions of both films for the few bonuses they offer.

I want to know as well, what are the features on this release? I've looked around, but have not been able to find a actual press release for The Rescuers/The Rescuers Down Under.
